Job Context:
∎ An international NGO is going to implement a Health Program in Bangladesh. This health program is a health and social protection scheme (HSPS). This HSPS is supported by a French NGO, which specializes in the design and implementation of concrete development aid programmes.
∎ The objective of this Health Program is to improve access to care for urban slum dwellers. The HSPS is divided into four priority areas of activity:
∎ - Micro-health Insurance: partial coverage of health expenses.
∎ - Medical and Social Support: hotlines, home visits in order to direct beneficiaries as quickly as possible to the network`s health facilities.
∎ - Preventive Health: group training, home visits to improve the knowledge, attitudes and practices of beneficiaries.
∎ - Management and Strengthening of The Network of Approved Health Facilities: support for beneficiaries in health facilities, regular monitoring and evaluation of care and care providers.
∎ The mentioned Health Program is seeking a Medical Advisor to ensure the implementation of the following activities, under the supervision of the Program Management and its Project Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage the Health Program's network of health facilities: identification, negotiation, agreement, training and monitoring and evaluation through the validation of mutual members' claims as well as regular visits and assessments
∎ Monitor and evaluate the different results: frequency of service use (loss ratio), level of service use (average costs, coverage rate, etc.).
∎ Monitor and evaluate the quality of care (reception, prescription, hygienic etc.)
∎ Maintain a telephone hotline for the assistance of external members
∎ Maintain a medical permanence in the intervention area (Bhashantek Slum)
∎ Contribute to the development of facilitation sessions for the adoption of new behaviours by health facilities and field visits
∎ Represent the Health Program in health facilities
∎ Manage the team of facilitators present in the partner health facilities
∎ Medical consultation and prescription for the beneficiaries in the slum
Additional Requirements:
∎ Have been a practitioner (good knowledge of pathologies, therapeutic routes, health policies and systems.)
∎ Experience in Community Health/Public Health will be an asset
∎ Excellent speaking and writing skill in English and Bengali
∎ Very good Interpersonal and Communication skills
∎ Advanced Computer Skill is a MUST
∎ Analytic Skills
∎ Good Conflict Management skills
∎ Language skill in French will be an asset
∎ Strong motivation to work in Development field and NGO
∎ Sound Work Ethics
∎ Team Spirit
∎ Willing to perform field works
∎ Proactivity
∎ Flexibility
Salary: Tk. 45000 - 50000 (Monthly)
