∎ Bachelor or Masters in any discipline (Journalism and Mass Communication is preferred).

∎ Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software.
∎ Knowledge of social media platforms and their integration with media campaigns.
∎ Content Development and analytical Skills
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor all newspapers and electronic media daily for DIU-related news; circulate summaries and archive records.
∎ Draft pre- and post-event press releases, ensure placement in the media; send out media invitations and ensure timely follow-up.
∎ Organize press briefings, “Meet the Press” sessions, and assist visiting media personnel.
∎ Maintain strong communication with national, divisional, and regional journalists.
∎ Draft feature articles, op-eds, and promotional content on DIU; ensure placement in leading media.
∎ Ensure presence of DIU faculty/staff in interviews, talk shows, and expert panels.
∎ Prepare and implement semester-wise advertisement schedules as per approved plans.
∎ Promote DIU’s signature events, initiatives, and achievements across all major media platforms.
∎ Coordinate PR-related tasks with Ministries, UGC, and other national authorities.
∎ Maintain and update a comprehensive media contact database.
∎ Handle crisis communication with prompt, well-prepared responses to protect reputation.
∎ Collaborate with the digital team for cross-platform content promotion and consistency.
∎ Track peer universities' media presence; suggest competitive strategies.
∎ Support university leadership with key messages, talking points, and interview preparation.
∎ Recommend and assist in media training for university spokespersons.
∎ Submit periodic reports to evaluate PR effectiveness and outreach impact.
