Job purpose

• The Media Development Officer will work across multiple projects delivering effective capacity development support to different media houses and media practitioners, CSO representatives, Human Right Defenders and sectoral partners through training and close mentoring activities. Under the supervision of the Media Development Manager, he/she will also work to develop relationships with media stakeholders, partner organisations and relevant government apparatus. He/she will contribute to the strengthening of civil society and media development components of the projects and provide day-to-day support to project, research, admin, and production colleagues in BBC Media Action.
