Job Responsibilities:
∎ MEAL Specialist will support Christian Aid's operations in Bangladesh with special focus on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.
∎ S/he will support Christian Aid's Rohingya Response programme which is being implemented by Christian Aid and it partners.
∎ Under the overall guidance from Senior Emergency Response Manager and direct line Managed by MEAL Manager, the role holder will develop and implement monitoring checklists, M&E Framework, Theory of Change, MEAL Strategy for Rohingya Response programme.
∎ The incumbent is also expected to maintain close liaison with partner organisations to collect periodic data, provide support to partner staff when and where required.
∎ Most importantly, s/he will be taking proactive initiative to build capacity of the partner staff to generate better evidence, collect quality case study, best practices and run MEAL functions accordingly.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent knowledge and skills in result-based programming,
∎ Theory of Change and other programmatic and finance analysis tools.
∎ Relevant experience in planning, assessment, design, monitoring, evaluations and reporting skills.
∎ Proven experience working with in rapid changing environment, facilitating capacity building, mentoring and coaching.
∎ Claire Understanding on advantage and challenge of partner led MEAL, in emergency response programme.
∎ Relevant experience in managing of institutional donor funded programmes (EU, DFID, IOM etc).
∎ Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend and adopt new or changes in humanitarian standards and best practice approaches to ensure rapid, consistent, high quality emergency response, strategies and programmes;
∎ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with international institutions and agencies, local governments and community leaders and develop multi-stakeholder support for humanitarian priorities and advocacy initiatives;
∎ Excellent IT (Word, Outlook, Excel), analytical and problem solving and communication skills including written and oral English;
∎ Excellent organisational, management and coordination skills;
∎ Ability to manage a varied workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines;
∎ Illustrated commitment to, and a good understanding of, the CHS and Sphere standard values and ability to bring these alive in your work.
