  • Minimum 3 years’ experience on project monitoring       
  • Experience in Mwater, Kobo Apps       
  • Experience on report writing as Monthly, Quarterly, half-Yearly and Yearly       
  • Able to prepare report and others as per project requirement       
  • Field visit to project locations is a requirement of the position. It is a condition of employment that staff abides by all agency security and safety protocols, policies and procedures       
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders and project staff       
  • Excellent report writing skills in both English and Bengali       
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,
  • PowerPoint) and experience with project management tools       
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive, results-oriented approach to problem-solving       
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment      
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines       
  • Team player with experience in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environments

Responsibilities & Context:

The Association of Voluntary Actions for Society (AVAS), working in Bangladesh since 1998 with the vision of building an "environment-friendly, gender-sensitive, fair, and self-reliant pluralistic society," is set to launch a new initiative in partnership with Plan International Bangladesh. The project, titled "DURBAR: Girls-Led Climate Solutions," will commence in August 2025 in Charfession Upazila under Bhola District.

"DURBAR: Girls-Led Climate Solutions" project, implemented by the Association of Voluntary Actions for Society (AVAS), aims to empower adolescent girls and youth in Char Manika Union, Bhola, one of Bangladesh’s most climate-vulnerable coastal areas. Through integrated interventions in climate change education, health, sexual and reproductive rights and green economic opportunities, the project will build community resilience and promote youth leadership. Special focus is given to ensuring the participation of girls, marginalized groups and persons with disabilities. The initiative leverages AVAS’s strong local presence, partnerships with government and community stakeholders and experience in gender-transformative programming.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • This position is accountable to-       

  • To develop reports on project related activities       

  • To do the documentation and filling of all the project interventions       

  • To identify and document success stories and case studies of project activities      

  • To Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly activity plan       

  • Support to program people for developing SMART M&D Plan       

  • Understand clearly about the project result framework, track the progress and report to line manager       

  • To communicate with project manager and other local team members about the updates and modification on reporting formats and requirements         

  • Assist in development of TORs, survey/research tools and questionnaire       

  • Contribute to the improvement of an effective system for complaints handling and response mechanisms at the project level       

  • Ensure proper and systematic storage and filing of collected reports, documents, preserving data and pictures/videos for using SPAR and prepare SPAR report       

  • Reporting and documentation Case Story, Monthly & Quarterly quantitative and narrative report and submission in time as per requirement       

  • Monitor the progress indicators, results, process of project interventions and report to line manager       

  • Arrange and conduct Community Reflection session and support donors to enhance Annual Participatory Program Review and Post Distribution Monitoring       

  • Day to day support/problem shooting to program staffs for enhancing quality real-time data       

  • Enhance the capacity of project staff on online monitoring, usage of monitoring software and usage of electronic devices (Tab/Laptop/Desktop etc.)       

  • Data analysis and briefing the findings with project staff and partner organization       

  • To build up strong relationships with other officials       

  • Any other task will be accomplished assigned by the management.
