Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a passionate Marketing Officer to plan and oversee the organization’s marketing activities and campaigns including Website Development and Fundraising campaigns. This role will be entrusted with the primary responsibilities for website maintenance with relevant contents and delivery of the philanthropic and partnership fundraising nationally and globally from new and existing opportunities by coordinating a peer-to-peer capacity building program. This person will also ensure the ongoing development and improvement of related operational systems, processes and policies. The marketing officer must have great enthusiasm and skills for all-out website development and marketing as well as knowledge on relevant techniques and principles. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator and will have prior experience in managing website and various marketing and fundraising ventures.
∎ The general goal of this role is to ensure that the marketing, fundraising, and communication efforts add the highest value to its operation and business. The position will ensure that all the significant activities’ success and impacts of the programs, projects, and initiatives (PPIs) are properly captured and published in different outlets and promote the branding of the organization according to approved guidelines and procedures.
∎ This position will report to the General Manager (primary supervisor) and work closely with the Director of Administration, AEF and President of Agami Inc. (USA)
∎ Location: Based in Dhaka (10% field visit)
∎ Workplace: Work at office and from home with some flexible hours
∎ Employment Category: Contractual full time with flexibility
∎ WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
∎ A combination of the standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above-outlined responsibilities;
∎ May require occasional weekend and/or evening work – outside regular work days & hours.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ At least 50% time of work will involve website development and maintenance using Square Space.
∎ Regular website maintenance activities with organizational needs and priorities.
∎ Explore features on website which will be beneficial for the organization and donor relationships and implement marketing and communication strategies.
∎ Plan and organize all marketing/ promotional campaigns and year-round fundraising campaigns/events in coordination with senior management across AEF and Agami Inc. USA.
∎ Prepare budgets for such events.
∎ Conduct market research to identify CSR opportunities in Bangladesh and across the world.
∎ Keep abreast of Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fundraising trends and proactively share these insights across the fundraising management across the organization – AEF and Agami Inc.
∎ Network nationally and internationally to keep pace with relevant developments and engage with other NGOs to benchmark fundraising performance.
∎ Contribute to organizational planning, reporting, and monitoring.
∎ Evaluation processes and values around Marketing, Fundraising, Philanthropy, and Partnerships.
∎ Undertake field visits to collect relevant pictures, videos, and conduct interviews of beneficiaries for marketing purposes.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience with website design, development, and maintenance.
∎ Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles, market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods.
∎ Thorough understanding of social media and web analytics.
∎ Excellent photography and videography experience.
∎ Ability to work in a multicultural context/environment and demonstrate innovative practices influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
∎ Proven experience of designing and coordinating successful peer-to-peer training, coaching, and mentoring programs.
∎ Effective communication and negotiation skills to influence a range of stakeholders.
∎ Experience of monitoring and assessing high-value fundraising performance.
∎ Understanding of the systems required for effective fundraising.
∎ Computer literacy across Microsoft package.
∎ Demonstrable experience of managing successful marketing, fundraising, philanthropy, and partnerships activities (combination of major donor, foundation, and corporate fundraising) and knowledge of current best practice.
∎ Excellent interpersonal relationships along with presentation and facilitation skills.
∎ Problem solving with critical thinking skills as well as an aptitude for strategic planning.
∎ Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written in Bangla and English.
∎ A strong commitment to promote and practice Agami’s vision, mission, values and develop related strategies accordingly.
∎ Budget management experience is a plus.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel across Bangladesh when necessary.
Salary: Tk. 25000 - 30000 (Monthly)
