Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide planning and leadership to the Marketing team by ensuring appropriate structures, systems, competencies, and resources are developed in order to meet and exceed business objectives, profit and volume performance:
∎ Develop portfolio, brand, pricing and NPD strategies, ensuring alignment to business objectives
∎ Determine investment priorities, establish and agree budgeting and resourcing for marketing activities in order to maximize performance and ROI
∎ Develop comprehensive Market Entry and Business Strategy (product, pricing, distribution, and promotion strategy) and feasibility study (consumer acceptance, volume & sales projection, financial/P&L outlook)
∎ Align all strategies between Markets, Brand Groups and Region
∎ Drive both Top Line and Bottom Line growth and responsible for company's financial P&L
∎ Revamp standard product costing structure and drive cost efficiency
∎ Drive the development of new product offers and innovations, in coordination with R&D and Brand Groups. Drive culture of speed agenda within Bangladesh. Lead the development of Marketing Research Plan and transform the research finding into actionable solid business recommendation
∎ Support the Managing Director in the development of the strategic and annual market plans
∎ Shape research agenda across market providing insight into consumer and market trends through segmentation and ethnography study
∎ Lead best practice sharing and implementation across market and other regions
∎ Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent
∎ Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager's request
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 42 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum of 20 years relevant experience in FMCG brand/trade marketing in large companies, tobacco experience is preferred. Cross-cultural experience is a must
∎ Good knowledge of brand portfolio management and brand equity with clear evidence of achieving results, good FMCG understanding with ability to combine strategic business and consumer insight, NPD, brand portfolio strategy, trade & field marketing
∎ Solid business understanding of key support functions (Finance, R&D, Corporate Affairs, SRA, Legal) to effectively contribute to volume, share and OCC growth objectives for the Bangladesh markets
∎ Foreign training on Marketing Excellence Insight/Leadership Development/Econometrics will be added advantages
∎ Experience of coaching business graduates from foreign institutions
