Experience:

• 3 to 5 years

• Bachelor/ Diploma in Livestock, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years

• Must have technical skills/training on vaccination and artificial insemination

• At least 3-5 years of experience in market linkage, enterprise development, or value chain integration, preferably in the development sector.

Technical skills

• Strong understanding of market systems and value chain development for livestock products.

• Experience in working with private sector actors, producer groups.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

• Skill of photography

• Must have professional writing and speaking capacity in English and Bangla, i.e. monitoring report, field visit report, event report, case study/story, press release, content writing, etc.

• Contract Duration: Initially for 9 months (1st April 2025 to 31 December 2025)

• PROTTYASHI, a social development organization has been working for the development of disadvantaged population of the country since its establishment with an aim to ensure everyone to live with dignity and prosperity. PROTTYASHI reaches the community with basic needs and supports to save lives and facilitate all the people of the community to live with equal value and priority. PROTTYASHI works for the disadvantaged portion of the population in community addressing their pressing needs following the strategies contextually viable and environmentally sustainable. PROTTYASHI has been actively supporting the refugee population in the humanitarian response in Cox’s Bazar as one of the first responders since August 2017. PROTTYASHI has been vigilantly supporting these crises affected population to accomplish its promised commitment towards humanity and people in distress.
• To ensure improved food security for the refugee population helping them to meet nutritional requirement in an environmentally sustainable manner, PROTTYASHI is going to implement “Promotion of Market Linkage” Activity of WFP Cox’s Bazar Resilience Programme with the technical support of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in selected host communities of Ukhiya and Teknaf upazilas. PROTTYASHI invites applications for the vacant position titled- Market Linkage Supervisor (Livestock) for the Project and encourages the persons enthusiastic to contribute to the increased resilience of the humanitarian crisis affected host community people in Cox’s Bazar.

Reporting

• Market Linkage Supervisor (Livestock) will report to Project Coordinator. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to connect livestock farmers with local and national market.
• Establish relationships with buyers and traders to create sustainable market linkages.
• Support value chain actors in quality improvement, pricing, and branding.
• Conduct market assessments to identify trends, demands, and pricing.
• Train farmers on market dynamics, value addition, and financial literacy.
• Organize and conduct upazila-wise meetings with poultry.
• Conduct meetings with retailers, vendors, and producers.
• Monitor and evaluate market linkage activities for continuous improvement.
• Develop digital solutions for livestock trade and ensure gender and social inclusion.
• Coordinate vaccination and insemination campaigns.
• Ensure transport support from Aggregation Centers to Fresh Food Corners.
• Lead to supply of livestock products at Fresh Food Corners at Camp
• Other works assigned by the supervisor

• Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be 34,991 BDT with contributory provident fund 1,676 BDT, monthly bonus 3,333 BDT and regular traveling and communication bill.
