∎ • Minimum of 5-7 year experience in yarn/ material sourcing and procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a similar (RMG) industry.
∎ • Individual with expertise in material sourcing and procurement, possessing comprehensive knowledge of yarn quality and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional sourcing capabilities across local, regional, and international supplier markets, coupled with strong analytical skills and sound decision-making abilities.
∎ • Must have operational/ strategic understanding in Marketing, Merchandising & Planning; Product Quality & Development; Shipping, Sourcing / Procurement operations.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supplier Development and Management
∎ • Introduce new suppliers offering products and quality flexibility to the marketing team.
∎ • Ensure continuous development in product innovation, alternative product qualities, and alternate suppliers to meet customer demand.
∎ Pricing, Quality Assurance, and Cost Reduction
∎ • Cross-cost and cross-develop alternate qualities/suppliers to ensure competitive prices within targets set by the product development team.
∎ • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining or improving product quality.
∎ Proposal and Negotiation
∎ • Propose supplier/price proposals for management review and approval.
∎ • Provide sign-off deals along with all agreed business conditions to the product development team.
∎ Operational Support
∎ • Support bulk merchandisers with any purchase issues to expedite timely delivery.
∎ • Execute quarterly supplier evaluations to determine service levels and the continuation of business.
∎ Performance Improvement
∎ • Continuously improve self-performance and subordinate performance.
∎ • Continuously improve work processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
