Responsibilities & Context:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement officer to oversee purchases and develop new contracts.
In this position, candidate will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our organization.
Candidate will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for approving purchases.
Product demand forecast, procurement plan and set timeline for action.
Vendor development, vendor enlistment, relationship management and Supplier`s performance management, establish strategic relationships for enhanced capability & motivation.
Monitor vendors for quality, service and price through standard purchasing specifications.
Collect quotations & prepare comparative statement (CS) for approval and generate work order, monitor progress and ensure on time delivery.
Analyze market, Source material, develop supply strategy, proceed procurement activity and ensure delivery of material.
Negotiate with vendor and customer for better output.
Take initiatives to develop alternative product or supplier at lowest cost meeting all necessary quality parameters.
Identification and take initiatives for cost-saving and cost-reduction activity to optimize cost and value equation.
Process invoice of supplier and ensure payment on time.
Vendor development, vendor enlistment, relationship management and Supplier`s performance management, establish strategic relationships for enhanced capability & motivation.
To ensure proper supply of product as per requirement.
Keeps all records in a way that they can be checked at any time for information or audit purposes.
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including potential disruptions and supply shortages.
To ensure proper supply of product as per requirement and Implement inventory control measures to ensure accurate stock levels.
Preparing periodic reports in relation to the procurement and inventory department for the senior management and presenting these at the HOD meetings.
Lead and manage the supply chain team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
