Responsibilities & Context:

A leading international convenience store chain, and one of the largest in its home country is entering the Bangladesh retail market through a joint venture with Kazi Farms Limited. With an ambitious vision to set new benchmarks in retail customer experience, the project is currently in its pre-opening phase. To be part of this exciting journey, we are seeking a competent Legal & Corporate Communication - Manager to oversee and coordinate all Legal functions in close collaboration with both the international project team and local stakeholders.

Job Purpose:

The Legal & Corporate Communication - Manager is responsible for overseeing legal functions, ensuring corporate compliance, managing documentation and contract governance, and leading corporate communication strategies. This role ensures all legal and regulatory matters are handled efficiently, supports business development through licensing and compliance management, and strengthens the company’s reputation through public relations and CSR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper implementation of legal procedures in the drafting and review of cooperation contracts and agreements.

• Develop and manage an organized documentation system to ensure easy access, accuracy, and completeness.

• Oversee and resolve legal issues across all company divisions in a timely and effective manner.

• Coordinate with external legal counsel or internal stakeholders as necessary for case handling.

• Supervise the drafting and legal review of business agreements.

• Ensure timely and accurate disclosure of information to regulators, stakeholders, and the public, especially in line with the responsibilities of a publicly listed company.

• Lead systematic and efficient documentation and negotiation processes to strengthen external partnerships.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including corporate, labor, data protection,, and other legal frameworks.

• Act as a liaison with government and regulatory bodies.

• Monitor legal changes and ensure internal policies remain compliant with current regulations.

• Manage store licensing documentation (regular and franchise), ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

• Provide regulatory updates and strategic input to management on local and regional policy developments that impact business growth.

• Design and manage corporate communication strategies, including publications, CSR programs, media responses, and crisis communication.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, media, and external stakeholders to promote a strong corporate image.

• Ensure effective execution of PR initiatives at the branch level.

• Maintain the company’s reputation in local communities through consistent branding and community engagement aligned with corporate values.
