Responsibilities & Context:

• Lead and supervise the shipment team to meet business objectives and ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Provide coaching and training to team members; monitor individual and team performance, and implement action plans to improve productivity.

• Develop and update daily, weekly, and monthly shipment schedules in coordination with the merchandising, GPQ, and commercial departments.

• Ensure timely booking of transport vehicles (e.g., covered vans) from approved vendors according to shipment plans.

• Oversee proper and damage-free loading of goods, ensuring compliance with quality and safety protocols.

• Maintain regular and effective communication with transport vendors to manage schedules and resolve emergencies efficiently.

• Prepare shipment challans through the ERP system and ensure timely submission of all shipping-related documentation.

• Track and monitor cargo movement and delivery status; prepare shipment movement reports for management review.

• Monitor shipment cut-off timelines and take proactive steps to avoid delays or vehicle shortages.

• Conduct thorough inspections of transport vehicles before loading to ensure safety and compliance with garment handling standards.

• Collaborate with merchandisers, GPQ, and RQS teams for shipment approvals, inspection schedules, and delivery requirements.

• Prepare and submit MIS reports detailing shipment status, delay reasons, and overall logistics performance.
