The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets, which will meet the uprising demand in the local market and will also bring significant economic growth by exporting around the globe. We are looking for a highly experienced refractory professional to lead refractory planning, installation, maintenance, and performance optimization across Steel Melt Shop units, including EAF, LRF, ladles, and tundish systems. The role focuses on extending refractory campaign life, ensuring production continuity, reducing refractory cost per ton, and maintaining safe and reliable furnace operations through structured monitoring and technical control.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage refractory systems for EAF, LRF, ladles, tundish, and auxiliary units by planning lining cycles, repairs, and shutdown jobs to ensure continuous and safe SMS operation.
Plan refractory lining and relining campaigns by analyzing consumption history and furnace performance data to extend lining life and minimize unplanned downtime.
Monitor refractory wear and lining conditions through routine inspections and measurements to identify early damage and prevent operational failures.
Coordinate refractory maintenance activities with production and maintenance teams through structured planning schedules to align readiness with production targets.
Control refractory consumption and cost by tracking heat-wise and campaign-wise usage data to achieve lower refractory cost per ton.
Ensure optimum refractory inventory by forecasting demand and coordinating with procurement and stores to maintain uninterrupted material availability.
Supervise refractory installation, gunning, patching, and repair work by directing technicians and contractors to maintain quality standards and correct application methods.
Standardize refractory work procedures by implementing SOPs and best practices to improve consistency, performance, and service life.
Evaluate refractory materials and suppliers through performance reviews and trial analysis to support cost-effective and technically reliable selection.
Analyze and improve refractory performance by conducting failure investigations and reviewing operational data to recommend corrective and preventive actions.
