Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s degree in Public Health/ Sociology/ Statistics/ or other relevant Social Sciences.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Carrying out and successfully managing Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (MER) activities.
∎ Support data analysis using standard data analysis software and report writing.
∎ Develop and implement plan for monitoring various elements of MSB’s program and projects, implementation and allocation of roles and responsibilities, coordinate with program and project staff.
∎ Ensure that RME data collected is of high quality though designing and implementing rigorous quality assurance mechanisms.
∎ Develop RME budgets and quarterly budget forecasts and ensure that the budget is utilized properly.
∎ Preparation of M&E training materials, tools for data collectors.
∎ Communicate with RME team at MSI London on RME progress and seek technical support from other team members in Bangladesh and / or London when required.
∎ Obtain necessary permission from BMRC for any formal research.
∎ Maintain regular contact with related institutions and network of researchers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 5-7 years Experience in carrying out and managing quantitative and qualitative evaluations, assessments and studies; knowledge of program monitoring tools and techniques of health sector and at least 3 years experiences in research related job.
∎ Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to think laterally when confronted with problems.
∎ This post requires a person with monitoring and research skills who is flexible, shows strong initiative, and has excellent communication skill.
∎ Experience in using SPSS (or experience with a similar statistics software and willing to learn SPSS).
∎ Strong computer literacy, with good skills in MS Office.
∎ Having publications in national & international research journals will be given preference.
∎ Ability to work effectively as part of a team and ability to communicate effectively in English.
