Job Context:
∎ Department: Regulatory and Corporate Affairs
∎ Division: Administration

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Becoming the focal point for all company communications with BTRC, Bangladesh Bank, different ministries and other associated local agencies / government bodies
∎ Ensures compliance with applicable laws necessary for the business
∎ Assists in drafting agreements and other legal and business correspondences with government agencies
∎ Suggest changes to regulatory policies
∎ Participating in all government meetings and taking appropriate meeting minutes for company
∎ Liaises and communicates with relevant government agency for ensuring compliance of regulations, monitoring any regulatory changes and ensuring implementation in the business
∎ Liaises with external counsel for litigation and advising other legal issues
∎ Compile necessary documents requested from government bodies on periodic basis
∎ Ensure timely disbursement of revenue to government bodies as per license contract
∎ Looking into fulfillment of obligations set by government bodies as per the licensing document
∎ Report to the management on a periodic basis to provide an update on upcoming issues and alerting the management on any discrepancies

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 3~5 years of experience in handling regulatory issues oh behalf of telcos, ISPs or other similar businesses will be required for this position
∎ Candidates possessing prior experience in handling regulatory relations with BTRC, Bangladesh Bank and different Ministries
∎ SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
∎ Knowledge of company act, telecommunication act, ICT act, Foreign exchange policies, Banking laws and other regulations of telecommunication and ICT industry is a must
∎ Good command in Bengali and English, both written and verbal;
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
∎ Ability to work independently in a pressured environment.

Salary:
∎ Negotiable package with facilities as per office policy
