Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environment, Occupational Health Safety, Engineering, or related disciplines
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ ESHS data management - Develop and oversee templates for ESHS data collection and ensure that presentation of results is easy to use for various audiences for decision-making
∎ Develop ESHS KPIs - Develop leading and lagging KPIs and ensure operational leaders are held accountable for results
∎ Develop and implement ESHS policies and procedures - Develop a full ESHS management system including policies, procedures and response plans with root-cause analysis and preventative action plans
∎ ESHS assessments - Ensure that all sites are approved by relevant safety standards (e.g., RSC) and are prepared for any policy updates or changes is standards
∎ ESHS training plan - Assess training needs, develop engaging training content, roll out training plan, monitor effectiveness of training and continuously assess skills gaps
∎ Visual communications - Develop awareness-raising posters, videos and real-time data monitors to help develop a ‘safety-first’ mindset
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ In-depth knowledge and recognized qualifications in safety management, including qualifications such as ISO 45001 or equivalent
∎ Strong record of accomplishment preventing injuries, developing and implementing robust processes and management systems, and in building productive collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners
∎ Solid experience of risk assessments and risk management strategies
∎ Experience of successfully engaging colleagues with the help of good organizational, communication and presentation skills
∎ Develop leading and lagging KPIs to track progress and effectiveness of ESHS management system
∎ Identify and regularly review ESHS risks and develop appropriate management and response strategies
∎ Provide expertise, knowledge and skills to operational ESHS teams and ensure continuous learning and development of ESHS core team and entire organization
∎ Set up a training and development plan across all sites to ensure all employees are aware of corporate ESHS policies, their own rights and responsibilities and adopt a ‘safety-first’ mindset
∎ With assistance from operational ESHS teams; coordinate the collection, analysis and presentation of ESHS data as relevant
∎ Investigate any potential serious incident or near-miss, find out the root cause, prepare remedial action plan, and follow up on agreed actions
