Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Work in conducting initial environmental screening before the adaptation options construction.
∎ Support to coordinate various knowledge sharing and advocacy initiative to assure understanding and visibility of the project, Support to organize awareness, advocacy and result sharing/dissemination events inside and outside BRAC.
∎ Mapping and assessment report of existing BRAC climate actions, environmental and socio-economic aspect.
∎ Support the programme development and grants management team through providing write up, concepts, data, analysis as appropriate.
∎ Regularly monitor and keep an overview on national and international climate change science, adaptation, mitigation, and resilience enhancing innovations.
∎ Any other duty as appropriate and assigned by the programme management.

∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ To conduct initial environmental screening before the construction of RWHS and other interventions based on the ‘Environmental and Social Safeguard Framework (ESSF)’ of BRAC.
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Work in conducting initial environmental screening before the adaptation options construction.
∎ Support to coordinate various knowledge sharing and advocacy initiative to assure understanding and visibility of the project, Support to organize awareness, advocacy and result sharing/dissemination events inside and outside BRAC.
∎ Mapping and assessment report of existing BRAC climate actions, environmental and socio-economic aspect.
∎ Support the programme development and grants management team through providing write up, concepts, data, analysis as appropriate.

∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
