Educational Requirements:
∎ Degree in Management preferably in Finance / Accounting from a reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and monitor a credit control system/policy strictly in collaboration with sales and marketing, finance, and recovery team members.
∎ Check customer credit reports, approve or deny Sales Invoice request and communicate decisions to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
∎ Negotiate payment plans with customer and set payment terms and conditions accordingly.
∎ Maintain credit records, conduct regular analysis of the credit-control system, and implement changes as needed to reduce bad debts.
∎ Report any payment issues to management or the appropriate team.
∎ Follow up on overdue invoices and payments and implement company collections procedures as necessary.
∎ Take action through the litigation process for the clients deemed necessary.
∎ Monitor litigation files and attend courts for the litigation process with the help of a litigation lawyer.
∎ Weekly follow-up and reporting to management of litigation party's movement.
∎ Manage the local government authorities related to credit operations.
∎ Reconciliation of billing and collection with the recovery/Finance team and third-party customer.
∎ Keeping database record of all communication with the clients (e.g., Monthly statement/Balance Confirmation/Acknowledgement copy of goods receipts.
∎ Prepare early alert reports on potential clients who are in threat of being overdue/bad debt.
∎ Correspondence with corporate clients like issuing reminder letters in case of non-payment & late payment.
∎ Undertake detailed analysis and write reports on existing customers with the objective of making effective decisions on continuing credit business with them (e.g., Finalization of Discount rate/Credit limit/ Credit days etc.)
∎ From time to time meet with the recovery team for preparing short- and long-term recovery & collections plans.
∎ Monitor and coordinate with team members to achieve collection targets.
∎ Follow up recovery plans weekly (telephonic, physically).
∎ Reporting to management (i.e., billing, aging, debtors' movement, regular and irregular client reports, etc.).
∎ Meeting/keep coordination with the recovery and legal team.
∎ Look for ways to improve debt collection processes.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ A minimum 3-4 years' experience in a managerial position of which at least 08 years' experience in relevant field.
∎ Candidates from paint industry will have an advantage.
∎ Strong interpersonal leadership and negotiation skills.
∎ Advance knowledge in Excel.
∎ Sound communication skill in English as the person will report to Srilanka.
∎ Ability to travel extensively.
