Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 35 years
  • Candidates with professional certifications (PGDSCM, CSCM, or related to Supply Chain/International Trade) will get preference.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in import management, customs bond handling, and BEPZA coordination.
  • Experience in RMG/Textile manufacturing sector will be given preference.
  • Strong knowledge of bond license rules, customs clearance procedures, and BEPZA regulations.
  • Proficiency in import documentation, LC management, and bonded warehouse compliance.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills with BEPZA, Customs, and related stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office & ERP systems.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and compliance-focused.


Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee all customs clearance and bond-related activities for import and export operations.

  • Maintain compliance with customs regulations, bond licenses, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with C&F agents, customs authorities, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor and ensure timely clearance of raw materials, machinery, and export consignments.

  • Prepare and verify customs documentation, bond papers, LC documents, and shipping documents.

  • Handle bond audits, customs inspections, and regulatory correspondence.

  • Ensure accurate HS code classification and duty/tax calculation.

  • Maintain updated records of bond inventory, UD/EXP/IMP documentation, and customs declarations.

  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to avoid shipment delays or compliance issues.

  • Lead and develop the commercial operations team to ensure efficiency and compliance.
