Experience:

• 3 to 4 years

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CMA part-qualified preferred)

• 3 to 4 years

• Age At least 25 years

• 3/4 years in Accounts, Finance, or Audit

• Minimum 1-2 years in a similar role within retail, FMCG, or group of companies preferred

• Must have hands-on knowledge of accounting software (ERP system)

• Advanced skills in MS Excel; strong analytical and numerical ability

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

JOB OVERVIEW

Syntax Group is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts & Finance professional to manage the financial operations across the group's businesses (Syntax Mart, Syntax Food, Syntax Logistics, Syntax Digital & Syntax Global). The role will own day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and compliance ensuring accuracy, transparency and sound financial control across all entities.

Job Location: Dhaka In-office / Any where in Bangladesh

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts (ledgers, journals, trial balance) for all group entities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

• Handle bank reconciliation and cash flow management

• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and variance analysis

• Ensure timely VAT, Tax and other statutory compliance and filings

• Coordinate with internal/external auditors during audits

• Process payroll and ensure timely disbursement of salaries and benefits

• Monitor inventory valuation and cost control across business units

• Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for management

• Salary: BDT 35,000-50,000 (negotiable for an exceptional candidate)
