• Plan, manage, and maintain the company’s transmission network.
• Ensure stable connectivity between core network, POPs, OLTs, data centers, and other network sites.
• Take immediate action during transmission failures, link degradation, or outages.
• Lead and supervise transmission engineers and technicians.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and evaluate team KPIs.
• Supervise fiber installation, maintenance, splicing, testing, and restoration.
• Coordinate with field teams during fiber cuts and emergency restoration.
• Monitor transmission links using appropriate NMS/monitoring tools.
• Coordinate with NOC and technical teams to resolve complex network issues.
• Analyze current and future bandwidth requirements.
• Plan network upgrades, additional links, and equipment expansion.
• Take ownership of major transmission incidents.
• Coordinate emergency response during fiber cuts, equipment failures, and power-related issues.
• Coordinate with fiber providers, equipment vendors, contractors, and upstream/transportation partners.
• Manage transmission-related projects such as new POP connectivity, backbone expansion, fiber deployment, and network upgrades.
• Maintain updated network topology, fiber maps, link details, and equipment records.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transmission performance reports.
• Establish and monitor transmission KPIs.
