Responsibilities & Context:
∎ HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, focusing on creating sustainable changes to ensure the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster situations throughout Bangladesh. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects that assist in promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, building capacities of local stakeholders, and reducing the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox's Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection, and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host populations affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI's multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static approach are currently working in 15 camps in Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas, providing comprehensive physical rehabilitation, primary health care, protection, and MHPSS services. HI is implementing a development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, and Cox's Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices (Dhaka and Cox Bazar).Operational Thematic: Livelihood, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection, Inclusion, Education, and Atlas Logistics.
∎ Number of staff: Around 308 National staff and 04 international staff
∎ Contextual Summary of Logistics Department at HI BGD:
∎ Objective of the service:
∎ Data input in SBA to analysis of the tender, quotation and financial & technical proposal
∎ Physically visit supplier premise to assess the supplier or to collect quotation
∎ Support purchase documentation and close purchase file
∎ Support premises management related activities
∎ Listing of documents with the support of respective department focal for archiving
∎ Support to Organize and prepare the boxes with proper labelling
∎ Support to fill the Record Management Table
∎ Organize the last 5 years' Documents: Hard copy/ Soft copy- easy to access/identify
∎ Prepared the list of documents which need to Dispose with the support of respective department focal
∎ Archiving the files with guidance of Logistics Department
∎ Any other logistics task assigned by the supervisor.Deliverable:
∎ Weekly and Monthly Activity report
∎ Date input in SBA, Documentation and Purchase file closing
∎ Mission report: activities done, handover of the task
∎ Final Record Management Table
∎ Base location: Dhaka.
∎ The Logistics Officer (Casual worker) may be deployed in other site offices of HI (i.e Coxs Bazar, Teknaf, Ukhiya and Kurigram) based on need.
∎ Duration of working hour: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (one hour launch break), 5 days.
∎ Type of Contract: Daily Basis (Casual Worker)
∎ The maximum duration for this position must not exceed more than 180 (One hundred & eighty ) days, which could be terminated earlier based on program need.
∎ Such contracts can be extended after a reasonable periodic break between 1- 3 weeks prior to re-engaging them.
∎ 8 (eight) hours per day. Subject to the overtime payment no worker is allowed to work more than 10 (ten) hours a day. The Casual worker will follow HI BGD working time.
∎ The payment will be made on monthly basis base of the service received confirmation from supply chain supervisor and Facility supervisor- Dhaka. Payment will be made for the days worked by the casual worker.
∎ Payment must include with all coverage and NO additional cost will be paid for transport or accommodation or any other benefits. The rate must include Tax and applicable to deduct of TAX at source as per Govt. rules. For field visits, HI per-diem policy will be applicable.

∎ Handicap International-Humanity & Inclusion (HI) started its operation in Bangladesh in 1997. HI Bangladesh currently runs programs with activities focused on health & rehabilitation, disaster risk reduction, promoting disability rights, socio-economic development and/or poverty graduation.
∎ HI Logistics Department works as a support service department to ensure procurement, warehouse & distribution, fleet management, power & ICT support, asset & equipment, and facilities management activities. This position is hired to support the activities of the staff who went on maternity leave and to assist in the archiving management actions. Bangladesh Program has set an action plan to strengthen the Archive Management status. To facilitate this process and ensure proper archiving of the documents, the logistics officer will play the role and coordinate with other units under the supervision of the Logistics Department.
∎ Objective of the service:
∎ HI is looking for a Logistics Officer who will be responsible for supporting procurement, facility management, and other logistics activities. For archiving management, Logistics officer will support the team in listing of the documents and organizing of those documents in a systematic manner maintaining the HI global archive management Procedure.

∎ The daily rate is 2853.00 BDT per day worked (8 hours) Payment will be made on a monthly basis Vat/Tax will be deduct as per the Bangladesh Govt. rules
