Educational Requirements:

∎ Educational qualification can be flexible if the candidate has a minimum of 5-6 years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager or Warehouse manager preferably in an NGO.

Job Context:
∎ HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, with a focus on creating sustainable changes in terms of ensuring the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in situations of poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster throughout Bangladesh. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects which assist to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, build capacities of local stakeholders, and reduce the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox`s Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host population affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI`s multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static approach are currently working in 15 camps located in both Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas providing comprehensive services in physical rehabilitation, primary health care, protection, and MH/PSS.
∎ HI is currently implementing development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, Sitakindu, and Cox`s Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Sitakundu, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices( Dhaka and Cox Bazar).
∎ Operational Thematic: Livelihood, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection, Inclusion, Education and Atlas Logistic
∎ Number of staffs: Around 283 National staff and 9 international staff
∎ HI is currently looking for a Log Warehouse Management Advisor for its Logistics- Supply Chain department. Log Warehouse Management Advisor will be in close collaboration with the supply chain, project, and technical unit team, he/she will be responsible for:
∎ Formalize the HI adapted warehouse management procedure for Cox’sBazar area adhere to the context in Ukhiya and Teknaf, and implement the standard by ensuring proper tracking, reconciliation between purchase to reception to delivery, archiving & overall warehouse management system in place;
∎ Train the warehouse management & relevant supply chain team by clarifying their roles & responsibilities by setting up a clear ARCI & create the operational linkage between Supply Chain, warehouse & project team, as per HI standard process;
∎ Train the project team to implement the procedures on their parts;
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya/Teknaf under Cox`s Bazar district. From the date of joining candidate must have to stay in Ukhiya/Teknaf under his/her own residential arrangement
∎ Line Manager: Area Supply Chain Manager
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed-term
∎ Duration of the Contract: From as early as possible to 30 November 2021 with the possibility of an extension

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility 1: To streamline the warehousing processes, adapted to personnel, condition, and context of HI operations in the area starting from reception, categorizing, storage, release up to the distribution of goods which enables reconciliation of material in and out, physically and theoretically, incompliance with HI procedures
∎ Activities:
∎ Design the warehousing system and procedures
∎ Train related supply team on the warehouse system
∎ Implement the processes in actual basis by working together with the warehouse team, re-adapt the procedures as necessary, to ensure it is implementable. The implementation trial should at least be done for 2 weeks
∎ Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
∎ Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling them with the data storage system.
∎ Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; action to take for repair and requisitions for replacement.
∎ Responsibility 2: To clear warehouse backlogs whereby it should enable us to reconcile between the theoretical quantity in the report and the actual availability
∎ Activities:
∎ Run physical inventory on all warehouses, generate accurate inventory reports, and provide a recommendation of actions for management approval
∎ Adjust stock report following the inventory report and the decision endorsed by the management
∎ Responsibility 3: Submitting a summary mission report which consists of actual findings, achievements, work in progress, and further recommendation and action plan
∎ Activities:
∎ Providing mission report;
∎ Action Plan with ARCI

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 60 years
∎ Minimum 3-5 years of experience as Supply Chain Manager or Warehouse manager.
∎ Experience in handling warehouses worth at least 4M USD.
∎ Proven training skills.
∎ Experience in NGO and emergency contexts is necessary.
∎ Experience in stock & asset reconciliation.
∎ Previous experience with HI is an asset.
∎ Advanced planning, assessment, and analytical skills.
∎ Excellent writing skills in English are compulsory. Fluency in spoken English.
∎ Excellent skills in Excell.
∎ Ability to work under high pressure and without constant supervision.
∎ Excellent reactivity and flexibility in all circumstances.
∎ Excellent communication and networking skills.
∎ Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
∎ Must be advance skilled in MS office, especially spreadsheet
∎ Must have previous experience with ERP systems or Data management.
∎ Experience in Safety Management, Developing Standards and mapping, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Judgment.
