  • Animal Husbandry is preferable.

Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of development working experiences in Disability/ Livelihoods / SME / Market Development / Entrepreneurship Development / Climate Change Adaptation / DRR.
  • Proven track record with reputed national NGO/INGO institutions.
  • Excellent skills in community mobilization and understand team approach.
  • Experience in profit analysis and business planning with marginalized group members.
  • Excellent training facilitation, coordination, negotiation and documentation skills.
  • Understand the roles of different actors in market development and private sector engagement.
  • Prior experience working in the context of various donor-funded livelihood/ Climate Change and other development projects.
  • Self-reliant, ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-talents environment and willing to work under pressure in remote areas.

Responsibilities & Context:

Employment Status:

  • Contractual (Yearly Renewal): Depends on performance evaluation and funding availability.

Job Context:

  • Duty station: Bhola Sadar, Bhola District.
  • Reportable to: Project Manager (ILPWDVD Project)
  • Language Required: Both English and Bengali
  • Duration: Initially 12 Months (Subject to renewal based on performance and availability of fund) with 03 months’ probation period.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Linkage with different stakeholders as Livestock’s, Agriculture, Fisheries, Youth Development, Social Welfare, Women & Child Affaires, NGOs, Local Administration, project participants, project staff and smooth implementation of project’s livelihood interventions.
  • Facilitate to overall operation and management of Chilling Point/Plant and Dairy Product marketing for benefit of the project participants as well as organization.
  • Facilitate to operation and management of social business for the benefit of project participants.
  • Develop training module on multiple Income Generating Projects and facilitate IGA training sessions for project participants.
  • Facilitate to develop market linkage and value chain between producer and buyers.
  • Facilitate to project participants for Small Enterprise Development and Livelihoods for person with disability, Market Linkage and Value chain development.
  • Generate applicable IGA for family with disability & vulnerable poor family and facilitate to implement for their source of livelihoods.
  • Facilitate to implement climate resilience relevant project intervention.
  • Facilitate to project team for selection profitable IGA and its implementation for project participants.
  • Facilitate to establish milk collection and aggregation point and its management.
  • Select IGA beneficiary, distribution inputs and technical support for smooth implementation of their IGA.
  • Regular visit to project participant’s houses and provide technical support to project participants.
  • Present in group meeting, ensure group savings, transfer technology and technical skill for smooth Income Generation Project (IGA) interventions.
  • Facilitate to project budget development especially relevant to IGA and livelihoods and its incorporation.
  • Facilitate to ensure different livelihood support from different sources as GO, NGOs for beneficiary through linkage development with different stakeholders.
  • Facilitate to conduct project survey, project phase evaluation and new project development.
  • Facilitate to establish livelihood demonstration as Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock’s and Off Firms activities.
  • Facilitate to ensure vaccination for livestock of the project participants through linkage development with local service providers.
  • Facilitate to develop monthly, quarterly, half yearly, yearly financial plan and monthly, quarterly half yearly & yearly financial report and submission.
  • IGA and livelihood relevant data collection, analysis, explore and provide technical support to project and project participants as per required.
  • Implement livelihood activities for target project participants through building effective coordination among internal staffs and external stakeholders.
  • Develop sustainable livelihoods sources for the project participants through effective Income Generating Projects development and technology transfer.
  • Facilitate to conduct climate resilience training and capacity building of local volunteers.
  • Facilitate to evacuation, assessment, relief and rehabilitation intervention (if require).
