Responsibilities & Context:
∎ EV Powertrain & Battery System DesignLead the design and optimization of high-voltage battery systems, including battery pack configuration, BMS algorithms, thermal management, and power distribution.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery packs with inverters, electric motors, and on-board chargers.
∎ Define and oversee safety protocols related to battery handling, storage, and transportation in compliance with automotive standards.
∎ Electronics & Embedded Systems Develop and refine electronic control units (ECUs) for motor controllers, charging interfaces, and other critical EV subsystems.
∎ Implement automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and ensure robust diagnostic capabilities.
∎ Optimize system performance through hardware-software integration and real-time monitoring solutions.Prototyping, Validation & TestingOversee prototype builds of battery packs and electronics modules, ensuring rigorous testing for performance, safety, and reliability.
∎ Utilize Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations, thermal stress tests, EMI/EMC evaluations, and other relevant methods to validate designs.
∎ Interpret test data to drive iterative improvements and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (ISO 26262, IEC 62133, etc.).
∎ Project Leadership & Team ManagementManage a team of electronics, powertrain, and battery engineers, providing mentorship, setting performance goals, and fostering professional growth.
∎ Develop project roadmaps, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that milestones and budgets are met.
∎ Communicate progress and challenges to senior management, offering actionable solutions to mitigate risks.
∎ Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise with mechanical design, software, and production teams to ensure cohesive integration of the electrical and mechanical aspects of the EV.
∎ Work closely with supply chain and procurement to source optimal battery cells, power electronics components, and other vital parts.
∎ Maintain strong relationships with external partners, universities, and research institutions to explore emerging battery technologies.
∎ Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay current with advancements in battery chemistry, EV drivetrain technologies, and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge. Identify opportunities to enhance energy density, reduce weight, improve range, and lower production costs.
∎ Develop and implement new methodologies or tools to streamline the design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
∎ Documentation & Regulatory Compliance Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of design requirements, test protocols, and results throughout all stages of development.
∎ Ensure all EV electronics and battery systems meet automotive regulations and certifications relevant to Bangladesh and international markets.
∎ Uphold strict confidentiality and intellectual property protections regarding proprietary designs and processes.
∎ Safety & Quality Assurance Promote a safety-first culture, particularly when dealing with high-voltage systems and lithium-ion battery packs.
∎ Drive quality initiatives to reduce defects, enhance reliability, and maintain product consistency.
∎ Develop robust risk assessment procedures for battery failures, thermal runaway, and other potential hazards.
∎ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
∎ Additional coursework or certifications in battery technology, power electronics, or EV systems is highly preferred.
∎ Experience:5+ years of experience in electronics engineering, ideally with 3+ years focused on EV systems or battery development.
∎ Proven track record in managing or leading engineering teams and complex EV-related projects.
∎ Deep knowledge of battery management systems, battery cell chemistry (Li-ion, NMC, LFP, etc.), and safety standards (IEC, UL, ISO).
∎ Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting high-voltage systems (traction inverters, DC/DC converters, on-board chargers).
∎ Hands-on expertise with PCB design and simulation tools (Altium, OrCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE).Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and embedded systems programming.
∎ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

∎ We are seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer who specializes in electric vehicle (EV) systems, with a strong focus on battery system design and management. In this role, you will drive the design, development, and testing of the electronics architecture in our EVs—ranging from Battery Management Systems (BMS) and high-voltage power electronics to overall vehicle integration.
