Experience:
Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
NSC Level 3 or higher in Electrical Wiring Installation will be an advantage.
NSDA Trainer Methodology Course (TMC) or equivalent certification will be preferred.
Experienced industry professionals, technical experts, trainers, instructors, and practitioners interested in part-time teaching/training assignments are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with NSDA TMC, NSC certification, CBTA experience, or previous TVET training experience will receive preference.
Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical wiring installation, maintenance, or construction projects.
Previous experience as a trainer/instructor in a TVET or skills development institution will be an advantage.
Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Sound understanding of CBTA.
Trainers may be engaged according to the training schedule, batch requirements, and organizational needs.
Modern Skill Development Center is inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals for the position of Part-Time Electrical Wiring Installation Trainer – Level 3 under competency-based skills training programs aligned with the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver theoretical and practical training according to NSDA Competency Standards and Curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, training materials, practical demonstrations, practical exercises, and assessment tools.
Train participants in electrical wiring systems, installation techniques, cable laying, conduit installation, switchgear, distribution boards, lighting systems, earthing, testing, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrate the safe use of electrical tools, equipment, and measuring instruments.
Ensure compliance with OHS, electrical safety regulations, and workplace standards.
Conduct formative and summative assessments according to NSDA CBTA guidelines.
Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and competency achievement.
Maintain attendance registers, assessment records, logbooks, and training reports.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of workshop equipment and training materials.
Support internal and external monitoring, quality assurance, audits, and NSDA compliance activities.
Develop trainees' communication, teamwork, workplace ethics, and employability skills.
Coordinate with the Training Manager for effective delivery of training programs.
