∎ Purpose of the role:
∎ The Lead Community Mobiliser will play a key role in day-to-day operations of complementary activities as part of a `cash plus` intervention in two urban slums in Dhaka. The intervention provides regular cash transfers, which will be accompanied by additional support through family-based case management and community mobilisation. This position will work in close supervision of the Senior Social Protection Focal Point and will work with a team of 30 Community Mobilisers in the field and the Senior Cash Transfer Manager who will oversee implementation of the cash transfer. The Lead Community Mobiliser will supervise 10 Community Mobiliser. S/he will be the key player in the field in setting up, implementing, managing and monitoring complementary activities as part of the `cash plus` interventios. S/he will have a strong role in community mobilisation and case management of children and their households that are part of the cash plus intervention. Lead Community Mobilisers will also work closely with Senior Participatory Facilitator and Documenters in relation to the facilitation of the Action Research Groups and other participatory processes that form a critical part of the implementation of the CLARISSA programme in Bangladesh.

∎ The post holder will be expected to operate from the hub office to be set up at Hazaribag area, and would require constant field presence within two urban slums in Hazaribag, Dhaka

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contribute to the design, facilitation, and implementation of social protection related activities, including cash transfer and cash plus intervention, community mobilisation, and capacity development activities.
∎ Manage the organisation and mobilisation of community and be responsible for case management and community mobilisation activities in the field.
∎ Work closely with multiple stakeholders including children, their families, community people, employers, and association.
∎ Ensure the delivery of timely reports on cash plus interventions.
∎ Contribute to the participatory action research processes and support the Senior Participatory Facilitator in the action research groups.
∎ Assist to conduct studies and research in the field by networking with community and stakeholders, identifying groups, organising sessions and arranging logistics needed in the field.
∎ Assist in data collection, mapping exercises, maintaining and updating database and ensure quality of data being collected by fellow Community Mobilisers.
∎ Assist in designing participatory methods for engaging with different stakeholder groups - in consultation with the country coordinator and social protection focal point.
∎ Work with the safeguarding focal point to assess risks and local mitigation (e.g. referral resources) relating to participatory processes.
∎ Manage case management of children and families, assess services, and identify referrals.
∎ Report on social protection interventions in the field and document progresses in line with the programme's Monitoring and Learning framework.
∎ Identify capacity development/ mentoring needs of Community Mobilisers and coach and mobilise them as per the need of the programme, likely organizing complementary trainings.
∎ Respond and adjust to a flexible activity scheduling, and adaptive management structure, or social dynamics involving the community and its expectations.
∎ Make the hub office space in the slum visible and maintain the high standard to organise community mobilisation related activities in the field.
∎ Undertake any other duties that may be determined by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrated experience in working with children and communities in disadvantaged context, especially Dhaka slums
∎ Experience of community mobilisation, community organising, rapport building with the community members, mediation, conflict facilitation, needs analyses, and participatory action research.
∎ Demonstrated experience of ensuring the proper representation of the voices of highly marginalised people and the least powerful (in groups)
∎ Demonstrated experience of employing a rights-based approach
∎ Experience and knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment with vulnerable and marginal groups
∎ Practical experience in knowledge management within a non-profit organisation
∎ Experience managing teams.
∎ Experience of child-centred programmes
∎ Documentation skills and ability to support local communities to document their own process
∎ Familiarity with a range of participatory process tools and approaches
∎ Experience of nonviolent communication or related person-centred methodologies
∎ Knowledge:
∎ Fluency in spoken and written Bangla and a good command in English will be an asset
∎ Excellent verbal communication and facilitation skills
∎ Good understanding of the realities faced by children in the worst forms of child labour and those who are vulnerable to being drawn into it
∎ Competence in using MS Office, MS excel.
∎ Knowledge of the local contexts such as socio-cultural norms in which the child labour work will take place.
∎ Personal attributes:
