∎ 1. Usually, more than 3 years of experience in related fields are required, and those with international law firms or cross-border projects are preferred.2. Bachelor of Law (LL.B) or above, graduated from a law school in Bangladesh or internationally recognized. Those who are familiar with Bangladesh's legal system (such as civil law, company law, investment law, labor law, etc.) and those who also practice international business law are preferred.3.Language ability-English: Fluent written and spoken proficiency (Bangladesh official legal documents are mainly English).Chinese: Nonessential, but mastering basic Chinese or legal terms can add points to facilitate communication with domestic headquarters or customers.Bengali: Proficient in the local language to facilitate the affairs of local courts, government agencies or client.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Basic qualification requirements: To hold the Bangladesh lawyer's professional qualification, you must provide a lawyer's professional certificate (Enrollment Certificate) and a good professional record.Masters/Bachelor of Law (LLB), (Candidate having Enrollment in Bangladesh Bar Council will get preference).
∎ Field expertise: The business direction of the branch determines specific needs (such as foreign investment, cross border mergers and acquisitions, international arbitration, labor law, compliance, etc.). Familiar with common legal issues for Chinese-funded enterprises in Bangladesh (such as joint venture establishment, taxation, intellectual property protection).
∎ Other core abilities: cross cultural communication, understanding the business culture differences between China and Bangladesh, and being able to coordinate the needs of customers or teams in both countries. Compliance awareness, familiarity with Bangladesh's anti-corruption regulations (such as the Anti-Corruption Commission Act) and international compliance requirements (such as the FCPA).
