∎ Oversee daily laboratory activities, including sample processing, reporting, and equipment maintenance.
∎ Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations.
∎ Supervise and manage lab personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
∎ Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards among staff.
∎ Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO, CLIA, CAP).
∎ Prepare for and manage external inspections and certifications.
∎ Manage the lab’s budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
∎ Optimize resource allocation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
∎ Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic technologies and recommend implementation as needed.
∎ Oversee the integration and maintenance of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
∎ Address client inquiries and concerns to ensure satisfaction and trust.
∎ Maintain effective communication with physicians, clinics, and hospitals.
∎ Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement.
∎ Generate detailed reports for internal review and external stakeholders.
