Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology (lab) under State running Medical Faculty of Bangladesh or from any Government approved organization.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure care & maintenance of all the lab instruments & equipment
∎ Carrying out day to day regular & emergency lab procedures
∎ Ensure availability of all related reagents & logistics of Laboratory
∎ Review stock & initiate requisition for laboratory activities
∎ Documentation of all lab activities
∎ Keep service records and prepare monthly report
∎ B. Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
∎ C. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
∎ D. Develops clinic staff's pathological knowledge by participating in clinical programs; training clinic staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals.
∎ Collects, processes, and handles blood and/or other biological specimens according to established procedures; instructs patients in the proper collection of samples.
∎ Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis, as assigned; conducts quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid; performs blood counts using microscope.
∎ Conducts blood tests for transfusion purposes; may draw blood from patient's finger, ear lobe, or vein observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples.
∎ Develops and maintains cell/tissue cultures for testing purposes, as appropriate; isolates and identifies specimens, using advanced laboratory techniques.
∎ Performs quality control on test results, ensuring validity and accuracy.
∎ Performs calibration and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure adherence to established standards of accuracy.
∎ Keeps records and reports on results according to established procedures.
∎ Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
∎ Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
∎ Conducting and supporting scientific investigations and experiments
∎ Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials
∎ Recording and analyzing data
∎ Demonstrating procedures
∎ Collecting, preparing and/or testing samples
∎ Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility of the equipment
∎ Providing technical support
∎ Presenting results to senior staff
∎ Writing reports, reviews and summaries
∎ Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
∎ Supervising staff
∎ Carrying out risk assessments
∎ Ordering and maintaining stock and resources

Additional Requirements:
∎ Previous experience in working in the char and islands areas and knowledge of local languages will be a definite advantage.
∎ She/he should be stay Upazila level.
∎ Should have the capability of inter personal communication skills.
∎ Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
∎ Ability to prepare and process laboratory samples using established protocols.
∎ Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards.
∎ Records maintenance skills.
∎ Ability to perform a range of clinical laboratory tests and chemical analyses on biological samples.
∎ Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
∎ Ability to draw intravenous and peripheral blood.
∎ Knowledge of laboratory and experimental protocols and procedures.
∎ Knowledge of tissue culture procedures and techniques.
∎ Ability to utilize, calibrate, configure and/or troubleshoot laboratory testing systems and instruments.
∎ Ability to isolate and identify specimens using advanced laboratory techniques and equipment.
∎ Knowledge of sterile procedures.
