Education:

  • Ability to create content, write case stories, blog posts based on the project intervention, thematic areas etc.

  • Good knowledge of capturing photos and videos.

  • Ability to write case stories/ blogs/ contents on project activities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Context:

Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 422 upazilas under 56 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.

The Knowledge Management Fellow will play a key role in compiling reports, capturing stories, documenting best practices, and supporting the development of communication materials for both internal and external audiences. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining photo and video inventories, coordinating social media content, and ensuring that project learnings are well documented and widely disseminated.

Responsibility:

  • Compile regular progress reports, case studies, and other documentation related to project activities and outcomes.

  • Gather stories from the field and stakeholders that highlight project successes, challenges, and lessons learned.

  • Capture and document best practices and lessons learned, ensuring they are easily accessible to internal and external audiences.

  • Develop visually engaging and informative communication materials, such as flyers, brochures, fact sheets, newsletters, and case story booklets.

  • Produce short video documentaries on project activities, outcomes, and beneficiary experiences.

  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of project photos and videos, ensuring proper tagging, categorization, and accessibility for future use in reports, presentations, and social media.

  • Draft and manage social media content, share updates, and engage with online communities to raise awareness of the project and its impact.

  • Support the Communication and Knowledge Management team in other tasks as needed, such as coordinating meetings, assisting with event logistics, or conducting research on communication trends.

Monthly Progress Reports

  • Clear documentation of project activities, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

  • At least three (3) reports over the period (one per month).

Case Studies and photo Stories

  • Minimum fifteen (15) well-written case stories from project beneficiaries and stakeholders across the project areas.

  • Stories should highlight impact, challenges, and innovative practices.

Best Practices and Lessons Learned Document

  • A compiled document summarizing at least three (3) best practices and lessons learned from project interventions.

Communication Materials Package

  • Visually engaging materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, fact sheets, or newsletters).

  • One (2) consolidated case story booklet (digital format).

Photo and Video Inventory

  • Organized repository of high-quality project photos and videos with proper tagging and categorization.

  • Minimum 200 photos and 10 short video clips collected and documented.

Short Video Documentaries

  • Five (5) short (3–5 minutes) video documentaries capturing project outcomes, activities, and/or beneficiary voices.

Social Media Content

  • At least 15 drafted posts (text with photos or short clips) ready for project social media platforms over three months.

Knowledge Sharing and Dissemination Support

  • Documentation and knowledge products shared with internal teams and external audiences as per project communication strategy.

  • Support to at least one project-level event (knowledge sharing, learning event, or dissemination meeting).
