∎ 5+ years of experience in government sales, tender management, or business development in the ICT, infrastructure, or technology sector.
∎ Understanding of government procurement processes, regulatory frameworks, and contract management.
∎ Familiarity with ICT solutions, networking, security systems, and enterprise solutions is a plus.
∎ Strong ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
∎ Ability to analyze tender documents, market trends, and competitor strategies.
∎ Strong connections with government agencies, public sector clients, and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identify and pursue government tenders, procurement opportunities, and public sector projects.
∎ Monitor e-GP (Electronic Government Procurement) portals, RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and other tender announcements.
∎ Lead the end-to-end bidding process, including document preparation, bid submission, and compliance with government requirements.
∎ Build strategic partnerships with government agencies, ministries, and state-owned enterprises.
∎ Develop and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, including procurement officers, policy-makers, and project evaluators.
∎ Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to promote Akij Blue Ltd.’s solutions and services.
∎ Ensure excellent client servicing and satisfaction to secure repeat business and long-term contracts.
∎ Ensure all government contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
∎ Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with public sector clients.
∎ Handle dispute resolution, contract amendments, and any compliance-related matters.
∎ Work closely with internal teams (operations, finance, technical, supply chain) to ensure smooth project implementation.
∎ Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables as per the contract terms.
∎ Assist in project execution by coordinating with government agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
∎ Conduct market research on government procurement trends, budget allocations, and upcoming tenders.
∎ Analyze competitor strategies and pricing models to enhance bid competitiveness.
∎ Provide strategic insights to senior management for business expansion in the government sector.
∎ Meet and exceed sales targets related to government projects and tenders.
∎ Ensure timely invoicing and payment collection from government clients.
∎ Maintain financial records and forecasts related to government accounts.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The Key Accounts Manager (Government Projects & Tenders) is responsible for driving sales and business development for government projects, tenders, and public sector clients. The role requires extensive coordination with government agencies, public sector undertakings (PSUs), regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to secure high-value projects. The incumbent will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of government projects, from lead generation and bid preparation to project execution and relationship management.
