∎ Ability to follow instructions carefully and collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in receiving fabrics from suppliers and checking quantity and condition.
∎ Help store fabrics in the correct area based on type, color, or order.
∎ Keep records of received and issued fabrics using manual or computer systems.
∎ Support fabric issuance to the cutting or production floor as per plan or requisition.
∎ Inform supervisors when any fabric is running low or needs reordering.
∎ Take part in monthly and yearly fabric stock counts with the store team.
∎ Help prepare basic reports about fabric stock, movement, and balance.
∎ Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the fabric storage area.
∎ Learn and follow the system of using older fabric rolls first to avoid wastage (FIFO).
∎ Report any damaged or faulty fabric rolls to the supervisor.
∎ Follow safety guidelines while handling and moving fabric rolls.
∎ Cooperate with other departments like Merchandising, Cutting, and Planning for smooth workflow.
