Job Context:
∎ The purpose of the position is to support the Programme Officer to implement Technical Programs effectively and efficiently at the community-level to achieve child well-being.
∎ The Junior Programme Officer (JPO) will assist in mobilizing communities around child well-being to ensure each target community has a unique development plan.
∎ This position will serve to assist the work of the Programme Officer as the primary link between World Vision (including technical specialists and sponsorship staff) and communities and local partners.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support Programme Officer to mobilize the community to engage in the development processes
∎ Support Programme Officer to Implement Area Programme (AP) plan in collaboration with partners and community
∎ Support to facilitate Monitoring and Evaluation processes at community level
∎ Support to facilitate child sponsorship activities and processes
∎ Assist the Programme Officer to Facilitate community led development process
∎ Build relationships with individuals, social groups, institutions, and organizations
∎ Support to facilitate relationship building and strengthen relationships and partnerships between existing groups in the community
∎ Coordinate with Area Programme (AP) level technical specialists and other sector staffs for effective program integration and quality implementation
∎ Provide support to community facilitators / groups for effective implementation for effective implementation of CESP and TP activities
∎ Establish community led child monitoring and other sector based community led monitoring
∎ Support to ensure monitoring and evaluation of activities as per M&E systems, tools and guidelines
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Strong Knowledge on social dimension, Legal structure of the local government, power dynamics and government relations
∎ Good communication and networking skill
∎ Good time management skills
∎ Good proficiency in English and Bengali, both written and verbal
∎ Decision making, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
∎ Minimum of 1 years working experiences working in development at the community level
∎ Experienced in working with CSOs, INGOs / NGOs to implement community development projects
∎ have positive mentality to spend 75% of time working with communities at the field level
∎ Good working relationship with partners and stakeholders is expected
∎ Knowledge on current development and humanitarian issues
∎ Knowledge and skill in engaging community and partners
∎ Passion and dedication for working with the Most Vulnerable
