Job Context:
∎ 12 months national employment contract
∎ For our Dhaka based Country Programme Office, we are looking for a Junior Programme Officer (JPO) in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction programme. This position will be supervised by the Programme Manager - Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Inform climate change and DRR programme through documenting and sharing past and ongoing lessons learned, good practices and locally led adaptation practices
∎ Support Climate Change and DRR programme team in its operation and implementation of programme and project related activities
∎ Support national and local partners in Climate Change and DRR programme in their coordination for project planning, implementation and monitoring
∎ Study and analyze gender norms and social practices, the conditions and social position of girls and young women and how those are addressed in climate change and DRR programmes
∎ Coordinate with partners for reporting, updating, data collection and other collaboration and communication with respective stakeholders at national level
∎ Join different knowledge management and learning sharing events and programmes
∎ Communicate and coordinate national and local level climate change platforms/ forums for issue-based discussion or join interventions at different level
∎ Connect and engage with networks, platforms and stakeholders that are relevant and important in the area of Climate Change resilience and adaptation

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' experience in development sector in Bangladesh
∎ Good quality writing, reading and speaking skill in English
∎ Good communication and presentation skill
∎ Good in Microsoft office, email and internet based applications

Salary:
∎ Range BDT. 60,000/- to BDT. 75,000/- including all benefits (PF, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Insurance and others as per HR policy). Based on fund availability and individual performance, the contract would be extended.
