Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Fair Price Shop.

  • Maintain adequate stock of groceries, snacks, beverages, personal-care items, and other approved products.

  • Purchase or coordinate procurement of products from approved suppliers.

  • Receive, check, and properly store incoming products.

  • Monitor stock levels and prepare purchase/replenishment requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, sales, returns, wastage, and balances.

  • Operate the shop’s billing/cash system and maintain daily sales and cash records.

  • Ensure that products are sold according to approved prices and company policies.

  • Prevent stock shortages, excess inventory, expiry, damage, and unauthorized transactions.

  • Check product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged products from sale.

  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.

  • Provide courteous and efficient service to factory employees.

  • Handle employee queries and complaints professionally and escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and stock reports.

  • Support periodic stock counting and reconciliation with physical inventory.

  • Maintain proper documentation of invoices, purchase records, and shop expenses.

  • Coordinate with the Administration, Accounts, Procurement, and Welfare teams when required.

  • Ensure compliance with company rules, safety requirements, and internal audit procedures.

  • Support internal and external audits related to the Fair Price Shop.
