• Familiarity with spare parts planning, lubrication systems, and condition monitoring.

Meghna Re-Rolling and Steel Mills Limited (MRSML), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries, is establishing a top-notch steel factory in Bangladesh with the latest European technologies and machinery, having an annual production capacity of 1.5 million MT. The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets to meet the growing demand in the local market and to contribute significantly to economic growth through exports around the globe. To achieve this goal, we are seeking dynamic, self-motivated, and technically sound Junior Engineers. The incumbent will be responsible for field-oriented maintenance activities in the Rolling Mill. The role involves supporting shift operations, ensuring reliability of equipment, carrying out preventive/corrective/breakdown maintenance, and directly engaging in repair work under the supervision of the Shift In-Charge (Mechanical).

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform condition monitoring, preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of rolling mill equipment, including Re-heating Furnace, Hot Rolling Mill, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, Lubrication & Central Greasing Units, Bending Machines, EOT Cranes, and Water Treatment Plant.

• Ensure reliable performance and timely troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

• Conduct inspections and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure smooth operation and safe working conditions.

• Ensure compliance with all maintenance activities by following engineering standards, tolerances, and industry best practices to achieve quality repairs and long-term machine stability.

• Work in accordance with established procedures by strictly adhering to SOPs, technical manuals, and engineering principles to maintain consistency, safety, and reliability in operations.

• Inspect mechanical equipment to identify repair needs.

• Execute activities as per maintenance schedules by following planned checklists, prioritizing based on equipment condition, and recording job status to prevent unexpected breakdowns and optimize machine uptime.

• Prepare and update spare parts lists by reviewing consumption history, identifying critical spares, and ensuring stock availability to avoid delays during emergency repairs.

• Ensure proper housekeeping in maintenance areas by organizing tools, cleaning workstations, and disposing of waste materials to ensure safety, discipline, and efficiency.

• Strictly comply with company safety guidelines, risk assessments, and safe work practices to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment.
