Responsibilities & Context:

The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of capital markets, listed and unlisted companies, industries, and macroeconomic trends to support the investment banking, portfolio management, and advisory activities of the Merchant Bank. The role involves preparing research reports, financial models, valuation, and providing investment recommendations to internal teams and clients.

• Conduct detailed research and analysis of listed companies, IPO prospects, and potential private placements.

• Prepare sectoral reports (e.g., Banking, NBFI, Pharmaceuticals, Power & Energy, IT, etc.) to identify opportunities and risks.

• Track macroeconomic indicators, budget announcements, monetary policies, and regulatory changes affecting capital markets.

• Develop and maintain financial models (DCF, Comparable Company, Precedent Transactions, etc.).

• Analyze financial statements, quarterly disclosures, and price-sensitive information (PSI) of listed companies.

• Provide valuation inputs for IPO pricing, right issues, bond/debenture issuance, and M&A activities.

• Support Portfolio Managers with stock selection, asset allocation, and investment strategy.

• Prepare investment notes, presentations, and briefing materials for clients and internal committees.
