Responsibilities & Context:

About the Position

Global Education Hub Sydney is seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and enthusiastic Japanese Language Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the Japanese language along with teaching or training experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured Japanese language training for JLPT/NAT N5 and N4 levels, preparing students for examinations, and supporting their readiness for employment and career opportunities in Japan.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor/Honors degree preferred.

  • Candidates with substantial Japanese language proficiency and relevant work experience in Japan may be considered with relaxed academic requirements.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Experience in Immigration & Education Consultancy Services or Training Institutes will be preferred.

  • Candidates with Japanese language teaching/training experience will receive preference.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent Japanese and English writing skills.

  • Ability to manage, motivate, and engage students effectively.

  • Strong classroom management and student assessment skills.

  • Preference will be given to candidates experienced in using technology for language instruction.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a diverse educational environment.

  • Strong understanding of Japanese language, culture, workplace etiquette, and communication.

  • Responsible, punctual, professional, and student-focused attitude.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop and complete structured 3-month course schedules for JLPT/N5 and N4 levels.

  • Design and deliver effective curricula aligned with JLPT and NAT standards.

  • Ensure quality instruction, student engagement, regular assessment, and strong examination preparation.

  • Provide necessary guidance and support regarding JLPT/NAT exam registration and follow-up.

  • Prepare and maintain academic materials, including:

    • Weekly class and lesson-wise routines.

    • Weekly quizzes and short tests.

    • Monthly evaluation tests.

    • Final mock tests before JLPT/NAT examinations.

  • Train students for interviews with Japanese employers, including:

    • Japanese cultural orientation.

    • Basic workplace Japanese and etiquette.

    • Mock interview sessions.

    • Workplace communication and professional behaviour.

  • Maintain liaison with relevant institutions and organizations involved in students' education and migration processes.

  • Submit accurate and timely monthly student progress reports to the reporting authority.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student, institutional, and organizational information.

  • Motivate students, maintain discipline, monitor attendance, and create a positive learning environment.

  • Conduct classes punctually and professionally according to the assigned schedule.

  • Participate in academic, training, cultural, and other institutional events when required.

  • Maintain a professional and respectful attitude and avoid conflicts of interest or misconduct.

  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by management.
