Responsibilities & Context:

The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments and payroll, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting audits for JP Technical Training Center (JPTTC). The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in implementing government-funded training projects, along with sound accounting practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain, verify, and accurately manage the daily income and expenditure accounts of the institution.

  • Prepare, balance, and systematically update the cash book, bank book, ledger, and vouchers.

  • Oversee and smoothly execute staff salaries, disbursements, VAT, Tax, and other financial operations.

  • Maintain comprehensive and organized accounting records regarding trainee admissions, course fees, and registrations.

  • Prepare structured monthly and annual financial reports and present them to upper management.

  • Implement Govt. Procurement rules and Institution rules to complete procurement tasks.

  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as delegated by the management authority.

  • Process all accounts payable accurately and on a timely basis.

  • Enter all project financial transactions into software accurately and promptly.

  • Process monthly payroll as per institute rules and regulations.

  • Monitor and prepare tax payments on behalf of project staff, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.

  • Monitor, analyze, and follow up on employee advance accounts and their timely settlement.

  • Process including VAT  & Tax and exemptions, with the relevant authorities, Prepare the annual VAT report for submission.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing financial documents, vouchers, supporting schedules, reconciliations, and other requested records.

  • Coordinate with auditors and relevant project staff to respond to audit queries and support follow-up on audit observations and recommendations.

  • Undertake any other responsibilities, tasks, or activities as assigned.
