Job Context:
∎ Kishoreganj Eye Hospital operated by a renewed national level non-governmental organization named Nari Uddug Kendra (NUK) is well established and reputed modern eye hospital which is working for eradicating the avoidable blindness from Bangladesh and as well as to meet up the VISION-2020 goal of WHO. Currently, Nari Uddug Kendra (NUK) is seeking applications for IT Officer Position for its Kishoreganj Eye Hospital under Kishoreganj District. This position will be based in Kishoreganj Eye Hospital, Kishreganj.
∎ The IT Officer is responsible for ensuring effective IT support systems are in place with friendly customer care, following organizational policy and procedures in line with the best practice for it`s hospitals, programs in Kishoreganj district.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensuring organizational IT guidelines and policy are understood by staff and readily available for staff.
∎ Ensuring support swiftly and with friendly customer focus, keeping users informed of progress and where necessary providing temporary solutions to minimize disruption to ongoing work.
∎ To provide support internet (Broadband and Dial up) and E-mail servers and Assisting clients/staffs in operation of different applications packages.
∎ Extending technical service to different dept/units in arranging their meeting with OHP, multimedia, slide projector and PA systems;
∎ Maintain and troubleshooting for all the available software in operation at above mentioned institutions of NUK in Kishoreganj (e.g. Hospital Information and Management Software, Telemedicine software for all the vision centers);
∎ Maintain all the office equipment and routine care (e.g. Printers, Scanners, Photocopy Machine, PABX, Digital daily attendance, Digital display board);
∎ Proactively implement appropriate back up and maintenance procedures, keeping the schedule and logs of all maintenance work, identifying and recommending improvements to systems and policy to ensure continual risk minimization for the overall systems;
∎ Ensuring uninterrupted and trouble free operation of all computers under KEH/ASACH/NUK, Microcredit;
∎ Provide support for LAN and fight against all Network problems whenever arises;
∎ To monitor and fight against computer virus, Spam or any other problems which may arise from time to time;
∎ Provide both formal and informal training to the end users regarding computer troubles and fighting techniques regularly;
∎ Ensuring effective control systems over assets and IT resources, including assets registration, making and tracking, ensuring maintenance of up to date inventory of all units under regional office (IT assets register);
∎ Support to different department/units in preparing and compiling organizational report on timely manner;
∎ Regularly prepare and submit reports on IT issue to respective department head;

∎ Experience of installing software and maintenance
∎ Knowledge and experience in general support in computer trouble shooting
∎ Experience of managing assets and IT equipment

∎ Ability to work under work pressure
∎ Willingness for frequent field visits to sub offices/units within district
