Job Responsibilities:
∎ The IT Manager will be responsible for IT-related management functions while ensuring compliance with Carter Center and United States Government/funder policies and regulations. The IT Manager will work in close coordination with the IT department based in Atlanta. The IT Manager will be required to support office infrastructure and all staff in matters related to IT, troubleshoot and actively find solutions to IT-related issues, and provide recommendations about best practices and upgrading IT-related systems. The IT Manager will ensure that key IT information and issues are communicated to Carter Center headquarters staff in Atlanta in a timely manner.
∎ The IT Manager's primary responsibility is to support the IT needs of the Carter Center in Bangladesh. Duties include but are not limited to:
∎ General
∎ Plan, organize and direct IT activities including preparation of required budget information. Participate in procurement activities as required.
∎ Provide IT recommendations and coordinate these with Atlanta IT.
∎ Actively participate in IT projects coordinated with Atlanta IT.
∎ Develop technical standards, templates and guidelines.
∎ Ensure all IT systems conform to IT standards and policies of the Carter Center.
∎ Travel to other field offices or remote locations as required.
∎ Internet
∎ Coordinate selection of and contracting with internet service provider(s).
∎ Be the primary point of contact between the office and the internet service providers(s).
∎ Work with internet service providers to ensure agreed upon service levels are maintained and escalate promptly if they are not.
∎ Infrastructure
∎ Install and maintain any required infrastructure. This may include firewalls, wireless access points, switches, servers and wiring. This requires at least a base level of understanding of networks.
∎ Keep an inventory of all infrastructure elements.
∎ Develop and implement a backup and recovery plan.
∎ Work with Atlanta as required to support the infrastructure including participating in any Global IT meetings.
∎ Maintain vendor relations as required to ensure efficient warranty services
∎ Request or set up new users with email addresses and any other required licenses.
∎ In some cases, participate in administering shared platforms such as Office365, Kaseya and Service Desk as directed by Atlanta IT. Experience with Office365 is required.
∎ Computers
∎ Keep an inventory of all desktop and laptop computers.
∎ Be able to set up and maintain staff computers. This includes installing software such as Office, ArcGIS, etc. It also means making sure computers are up to date and meet security criteria by maintaining compliance with Kaseya and Kaspersky at all times.
∎ Give recommendations regarding purchase of computers and software.
∎ Provide first line of support for staff IT issues.
∎ Printers and copiers
∎ Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of printers and copiers
∎ Ensure adequate printer/copier materials on-hand (coordinate procurement with Finance & Admin team when required)
∎ IT Capacity Building
∎ Provide IT training for local staff either directly or in conjunction with Atlanta.
∎ Other duties as required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Three years of network engineering, PC hardware support, network server administration, and end-user security experience. Experience with Meraki devices is a plus.
∎ Working knowledge of Windows-based systems and local networks.
∎ Proficient knowledge of Office 365 desktop and cloud applications (including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive)
∎ Knowledge of Mac OS based systems a plus.
∎ Fluent/native Bangla, professional-level English.
∎ Previous experience on donor-funded projects is a plu
