∎ Undergraduate students who have completed their degrees from the following fields : Graphic Design, Fine Arts ,Business studies, English, Agriculture and other social science related subjects , development studies ,agriculture and other related subjects.

Job Context:
∎ Project: Women`s Business Centre Agroecology Value Web Business Development in Bangladesh
∎ Grade: N / A

∎ Location: Dhaka with field visits if required
∎ Duration: 3 Months
∎ Working hours: 40/week (8 hours/day)
∎ Reporting to: Assistant Project Officer
∎ United Purpose is at both an inflection points and scaling opportunity in the development of its partnership with the Women`s Business Centres (WBCS) which is has helped form across Bangladesh and the entrepreneurs who run them. Across the diverse group of WBCs, key actors have emerged and begun to advance key value - enhanced products (such as organic spices and yoghurt) beyond what was originally envisioned or supported by UP . These entrepreneurs have an enormous number of experiences and knowledge which should be captured at this point as a resource for the development of WBCs . At the same time, they also have new needs to compete effectively to capitalize on the increased market opportunities, as well as further enhance the holistic value of their agroecologically - developed products through leveraging environmentally and culturally smart practices as a marketing approach.
∎ Against the backdrop, the project envisions advancing and supporting agroecological and climate smart Social Enterprises through community - driven value enhancement of key products within local value webs. By supporting enterprise that builds cultural identity and biological diversity, UP seeks to support community - driven value enhancement of key products, support cultural and ecological resilience or biocultural diversity, and further advance the work and sustained presence of the newly formed Nari Jhuri Women`s Business Centres Network in Bangladesh. In this second phase, the project will conduct a series of trial market value-web product narratives and practices emerging from development workshops in order to garner real-time input and troubleshoot agroecological value narrative development in the WBC context.
∎ Reporting and Staff Supervision: The Intern will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Assistant Project Officers

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The intern will provide support for graphic design and brand imagine to create attractive documentation of agroecological product development
∎ The intern will work with other creative team members to produce project based content, including but not limited to English to Bangla translation literature review
∎ The intern will assist to create guidelines for how logos and other branding materials should be displayed and used.
∎ The intern will help to make design choices for project related content.
∎ The intern will need to provide additional support in proofreading
∎ The intern will assist in logistics for hosting agroecological fairs in project locations across Bangladesh
∎ The Intern may need to assist Assistant Project Officer (APO) in implementing the project activities, and manage important relationships and networking across Women Business Centres (WBC ) and women entrepreneurs , other project teams , and facilitate workshops , meeting , assessment with WBC entrepreneurs at field level , including reporting and documentation if required.
∎ Others tasks assigned by the supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ Willingness and ability to travel across all regions of Bangladesh with the project team
∎ Proven graphic designing experience
∎ Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
∎ A keen eye for aesthetics and details
∎ Excellent communication skills
∎ Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
∎ Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
∎ Must be fluent in at least two languages (Bengali and English).
∎ The ability to clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices.
∎ Prior experience of doing translations will be bonus.
∎ Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
