Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job Title: Intern, Humanitarian ProgrammeDocumentation and Reporting Assist Programme Officer/Manager to develop high quality documents and demonstrate creativity in writing and presenting documents. Assist to produce case studies, best practices, field experiences, newsletter, e-bulletins and other advocacy materials. Assist to write event reports, meeting minutes, developing IEC materials and publish them through various platforms for the wider audience. Assist to design and develop communication materials (i.e., printed infographics, one-pagers, flyers, newsletter, banner etc.) to reflect the key messages for distribution to donors, media, stakeholders, and partners through a variety of mediums. Conceptualize, design, post in, and administer the social media platform (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube) Assist to develop proposal, concept note, situation report, action plans for the relevant stakeholders. Coordination, Collaboration and Networking: Participate in regular staff meetings (weekly, Monthly and need basis). Maintain regular and effective coordination with the regional, national, and local level stakeholders with the active help of Programme Office/ Programme Manager. Accountability and Safeguarding: Maintain gender-sensitive approach in all stages of programme implementation. If required, travel to project areas and mobilize related stakeholders and beneficiary communities as per the project activities with the active support of relevant project staff. Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by the management.

GUSS opened its office in Dhaka on February 2017 and expanded its work in Dhaka, Sylhet, Sunamgonj, Cox’s Bazar, Noakhali, Rajshahi, Bhola, Patuakhali, Rajbari, Barguna, Lalmonirhat and Kurigram to run its Emergency and Humanitarian programme, Inclusive Education, Maternal and Child Care, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene and Livelihood programmes to the mostly needy communities in Bangladesh. Over these years, it has implemented various development and relief activities in the country and this has remarkably changed the lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. GUSS developed a longer-term strategic partnership with BRAC, Human Relief Foundation-UK, International Development and Relief Foundation Canada, Global Medic Canada, Muslim Aid USA, Human Care Initiative UK, Bangladesh Regeneration Trust – BRTUK to ensure its commitment to deliver the humanitarian and development programming to the farthest behind people in Bangladesh. GUSS works in collaboration and partnership with the Government of Bangladesh, Community Based Organizations, Development Partners, International Organizations, Civil Society Groups and UN Organizations focusing on Sustainable Development Goals.
