Experience & Knowledge:
Competent in NTVQF Level 1&2(Minimum)on Mobile phone Servicing.
Competent of Level IV (Trainer part) will be an added advantage.
Skills & Abilities:
Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
Good team work skills with the ability to work with different and sometime conflicting agendas
Deep understanding and practical skill on the relevant trade Knowledge in classroom/ Lab management.
Ability in resolving conflict and having strong verbal communication
Strong in Presentation Skills, Motivating Others, Listening, Collaborative Teaching
Knowledge about confidentiality and dealing with uncertainty
Ability of contingency management in classroom/any other official affairs
Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with experience in developing CBLM, Schedule as per BTEB/NSDA curriculum.
IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and use any software adopted by Muslim Aid
Self-motivated and Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
Ability to work without supervision
Job Purpose:
The instructor (Mobile Phone Servicing) is responsible for enrolling learners, designing and delivering both theoretical and practical lessons, monitoring progress, and preparing students for Assessment, job placement or self-employment opportunities in the Mobile Phone servicing sector. The role contributes to developing learners’ employability skills in the Mobile Phone servicing sector and supporting their journey toward sustainable livelihoods.
Academic:
Plan actual course of study by developing modifications for several levels of academic ability and previous achievement.
Develops and presents lesson plans by using a variety of techniques (lectures, projects, exhibits, field visit, audio-visuals, ICT tolls etc).
Assist the Principal in learner enrolment by supporting outreach and registration activities.
Ensure student attendance, follow up with irregular learners, and support enrolment initiatives.
Provide additional support for slow learners along with counselling and develop case studies when required.
Conduct training sessions by planning and developing course curricula in accordance with BTEB/NSDA guidelines, Competency Standards, and other relevant training and learning materials.
Stay informed and updated on curriculum revisions, policy changes, and official notices issued by BTEB/NSDA, and incorporate them into training delivery as required.
Prepare assignments, projects, and evaluate learner progress, ensuring both formative and summative assessments.
Ensure inclusive training delivery through engaging all learners actively.
Support to In-charge of Training Centre/Principal to communicate with BTEB/NSDA/any other Certification authority for the summative assessment and ensure assessment facilities.
Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom, addressing behavioural and academic challenges in consultation with relevant professionals.
Assist in job placement of students graduated from the trade.
Health & Safety:
Ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant training environment by following occupational health and safety guidelines as per Competency Curricula.
Promote safety practices during hands-on training and workshops.
Record keeping:
Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, performance, progression, Assessment’s information and provide to management as per need.
Regularly update student databases and provide reports to management as required.
Keep parents/guardians informed about learner performance and development when necessary.
Maintain trade-wise inventory of tools, equipment, raw materials, and training resources, ensuring proper utilization and accountability.
Professional development & Others Duty:
Motivate students and provide career guidance and Counselling.
Updates job knowledge by attending faculty meetings; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Contribute to the institute’s reputation by proactively supporting new initiatives and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Uphold Child Protection Policy and apply community-based approaches. Maintain networks and liaison with relevant local government offices, institutions, workshops, and industries.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
