Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ In collaboration with the Head of  Head of Programmes ( HoP)provide leadership and strategic direction for the design of Country Office strategic frameworks and plans, including the development of a country office resource mobilization strategy including donor engagement and funding plans and position papers to optimize the impact of large and complex programming interventions in line with Muslim Aid organizational strategic priorities·
∎ Lead on the development and maintenance of a pipeline and funding plan in line with the country and international strategy to ensure sufficient funds are generated to underpin on-going activities and ensure the diversification of funding and sustainability of the country office with appropriate funding.
∎ Support capacity development of partner organizations on resource mobilization and develop their linkages with donors/potential funding opportunities.
∎ Design and update a donor mapping and database and develop donor engagement strategies for prioritized institutional donors (such as EU/ECHO, DFID, UN etc.) to cultivate, maintain and develop strategic relationships with potential and existing donors, agencies, business contacts and other INGO partners to advance Muslim Aid's new programme development and raise our profile.
∎ Act as a focal person in the Country Office for coordination and communication with donors for sending appropriate and timely reports and updates, meetings and forums, following up on queries, information requests, informal reporting, and progress updates.
∎ Follow and closely monitor funding trends, policies and positions from new and existing donors.
∎ Lead on researching and identifying funding opportunities from new and existing donors by monitoring calls for proposals and funding updates, for solicited and unsolicited opportunities.
∎ Disseminate information and research on donors to increase awareness and knowledge and build capacity for in-country funding opportunities.
∎ Provide training and orientation to staff on donor requirements, expected outcomes and Muslim Aid's internal procedures regarding external funding.
∎ Organize events for partnership building with donors, stakeholders, NGOs and potential partners and conduct fundraising activities for Muslim Aid developmental activities, programmes and related priorities·
∎ Attend cluster and other meetings with donors and represent Muslim Aid·
∎ Be cognizant of advocacy opportunities and, following internal discussions, develop these as appropriate through the media, government, the UN, international agencies, donors and diplomatic missions.
∎ Lead on the development of concept notes, proposals and situation analyses - coordinating the development process with all relevant departments, including designing logical frameworks, setting realistic and measurable targets, and developing narrative proposals and budgets.
∎ Lead and coordinated the development, quality control and submission of quality reports (narrative and financial) and project amendments as required to donors, clusters and internal reporting by following Muslim Aid processes and liaising with the Country Office Programmes Team and all functional departments for submission to donors and respective stakeholders.
∎ Systematically develop the capacity of programme staff on project development and management standards by providing training on project design, development, implementation and budget management, the preparation of donor proposals and reports, budgets, recording and charging of expenditures, management of budgets etc.
∎ Develop success stories, best practices, and project briefs. presentations and coordinate to prepare Knowledge products of different projects for the programmes and share with HoP for HQ and other stakeholders to illustrate impact of the programming.
∎ Develop and design communication materials, including sector profiles, impact reports, programme briefings and information updates as required for internal and external use.
∎ Provide regular one-on-ones to the relevant employees, ensuring that you adhere to MA’s annual appraisal “PACE” framework.
∎ Ensuring that relevant employees are set with annual SMART objectives and making sure that you are aware of your SMART objectives from your line manager.
∎ Required to travel to project locations and field offices as and when required·
∎ Maintain constructive, purposeful, trust-based based and sincere relations with all colleagues working above or under whether directly or indirectly associated.
∎ Update management and others concerned with any development, internal or external, which can be of help to improve quality, provide better services and effective working.
∎ Job Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Head of Head of Programmes, the Institutional Funding Manager will work for programme development and quality of the programmes, leading the process of proposal development and donor liaison and other country-and HQ-level communications to grow and develop Muslim Aid programmes in Bangladesh, representing the organization in donor, coordination/cluster and NGO meetings, consultations with relevant programme and operation teams and other stakeholders within Muslim Aid in country and in the HQ as necessary. He/she will closely acquainted with current donor needs and change environment and prepare donor mapping according to all thematic areas.   S/he must supporting project design and development of programmes ensuring high level of project design standards and must also focus on quality implementation of project following project management standards.
