Required Skills & Expertise:
Strong experience with Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
Hands-on with:
Virtualization (Proxmox, Virtualizor, SolusVM)Hosting (cPanel/WHM)
In-depth knowledge of:
Server security, monitoring, and automationNetworking (IP, DNS, VLAN, Routing)
Scripting with Bash and/or Python; Ansible knowledge preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and incident management abilities.

Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years in system/infrastructure engineering.
Experience in a hosting provider or datacenter environment is highly preferred.

Educational Qualification:
B.Sc. in CSE, EEE, or related field (preferred).
Certifications like RHCSA, MCSA, or CompTIA are a plus.

Primary Role:

• Design, deploy, and manage physical and virtual infrastructure for hosting, VPS, RDP, and domain services.

• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security across all platforms.

• Lead automation, infrastructure planning, and operational strategy.
  
  Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Planning & Strategy
  Design scalable infrastructure for Shared Hosting (cPanel/WHM), VPS Nodes (KVM, OpenVZ) with Proxmox, Virtualizor, RDP Servers (Windows Server), and DNS, Mail, Backup, and Database Systems. Forecast resource growth, hardware lifecycles, and IP allocation.

  2. Server Deployment & Maintenance
  Deploy and configure Linux and Windows servers for hosting, VPS, and RDP. Manage virtualization platforms: Proxmox, Virtualizor, SolusVM. Perform OS updates, kernel patching, and package upgrades.

  3. Monitoring & Performance Tuning
  Set up and manage monitoring tools: Zabbix, Netdata, Grafana, UptimeRobot. Monitor and optimize server load, disk I/O, RAM usage, network bandwidth and uptime, and web and DB performance (Apache, Nginx, MySQL).

  4. Network & IP Management
  Manage VLANs, IP allocations, and bandwidth controls. Handle IP reputation and blacklisting (VPS/RDP focus). Coordinate with datacenter/ISP for routing and DDoS protection.

  5. Backup & Disaster Recovery
  Plan and implement backup strategies (daily, weekly, offsite). Use tools like JetBackup, Rsync, and R1Soft. Test and verify disaster recovery regularly.

  6. Security & Compliance
  Enforce server security using CSF, Fail2Ban, Imunify360, VPN. Monitor logs for abuse, intrusion, or unauthorized activity. Ensure GDPR and DMCA compliance and manage abuse responses.

  7. Automation & Scripting
  Automate provisioning, OS reinstallations, and IP management. Develop scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible.

  8. Incident Response & Escalation
  Respond quickly to system outages and security incidents. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and apply fixes. Work with datacenter or upstream providers when needed.

  9. Hardware & Cloud Resource Management
  Manage colocated physical servers. Monitor RAID, SSD/HDD health, and plan for upgrades. Handle cloud infrastructure (AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean).

  10. Documentation & Reporting
  Maintain infrastructure documentation, IP logs, and config backups. Generate weekly/monthly uptime and performance reports.
