Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the FIVDB-UNICEF SBC Project in Cox's Bazar funded by UNICEF. The project Duration is one year from the project awarding. The job is contractual for the project period with a 3-month period of probation. The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at Ukhia, Teknaf and Cox's Bazar, with substantial field activities at different camps and host communities.
∎ ROLE PURPOSE:
∎ The Information Service Provider (ISP) is responsible for facilitating and coordinating specified Feedback and Information Centre (IFC). The ISP will work closely with Outreach workers, Mother to Mother support group, Father to Father (F2F) support groups, Religious leader’s groups, Community leader’s groups and Adolescents Radio Listeners Club (ARLC) ensuring capacity is built and appropriate results are attained. The ultimate aim of the initiative will be to change social norms and behaviors in health, nutrition, education, Child protection, protection, GVB, WASH. ISP will work closely with camp level service providers, sectors, national, and local level stakeholders, carry collaboration and coordination with government official (CiC office) and UN, National and International Organizations. ISP will assist for coordinate to collect related information from working location and prepare routine reports. The position requires clear understanding on RCCE/SBC approaches, capacity building method, conducting training & sessions. This position also requires to understand Rohingya Crisis, Camp situation, Project implementation, People management, Liaison with Government wings and stakeholders. S/he will maintain coordination with the community engagement officer, finance and admin officer, capacity building officer, M&E officer, Outreach worker and other stakeholders.
∎ SCOPE OF ROLE:
∎ Reports to: Community Engagement Officer (CEO)
∎ Budget Responsibilities: No
∎ Role Dimensions: FDMN camps in Cox’s Bazar
∎ KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
∎ • Facilitating and coordinating specified Feedback and Information Centre (IFC) for UNICEF Social and Behavior Change Communications (SBCC) project.
∎ • Rapport build up to the target community and different information collection and dissemination.
∎ • Maintain referral mechanism as per need and follow up Referral cases.
∎ • Establish effective communication with different service providing organization.
∎ • Manage the project through strong leadership and encourage, support, coach, and mentor the Outreach workers, Mother to Mother support group, Father to Father (F2F) support groups, Religious leader’s groups, Community leader’s groups and Adolescents Radio Listeners Club (ARLC) ensuring capacity is built and appropriate results are attained.
∎ • Ensure compliance with FIVDB, specific donor and Government of Bangladesh.
∎ • Prepare the camp level daily, monthly, and other program reports and document in time aligning with project design.
∎ • Maintain database management in Horizon for Project as per requirement.
∎ • Capture evidence of good practices in regular basis.
∎ • Maintain interpersonal communication in the team and within organization.
∎ • Strengthening team member’s knowledge, capacity and developing successor of the team.
∎ • Plan and supervise the team effectively and provide needful guidance.
∎ • Participating and conducting meetings, trainings, seminars, and workshops as per need of the program.
∎ • Daily data entry on Logbook, Tab (ODK) and reports to the supervisor and M&E Officer.
∎ • Participate in the camp level GO/NGO coordination meetings at different levels need base.
∎ • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
