Job Context:
∎ World Concern/Medair implements Primary Health Care and Nutrition services within camps hosting Rohingya displaced communities in collaboration with various partners including MoHFW, UN agencies, other INGOs and local NGOs as well as donors.
∎ To contribute to the reduction of excess morbidity and mortality due to disaster/outbreaks amongst FDMN through the provision of comprehensive health and nutrition services.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepares health data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
∎ Collects and processes paper documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by communicating with and/or returning incomplete documents to the appropriate clinic supervisor for resolution.
∎ Enters health data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information into the appropriate databases.
∎ Data entry should be completed in a timely manner, keeping the appropriate reporting deadlines in mind.
∎ Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
∎ Verifies entered data by reviewing and collating data as appropriate. Secures information by completing data base backups.
∎ Makes the appropriate copies in a timely manner so the copied documents that are kept at field level can be returned on time.
∎ Support technical alignment of relevant health information systems including World Concern/Medair HIS and DHIS2 tools.
∎ Strengthen usage of data by the health facilities and address issues of quality and timely availability of data.
∎ Provide timely feedback to data users regarding key health indicators such as outbreak alerts.
∎ Scans appropriate documents for archiving purposes.
∎ Archives original documents into its appropriate folders.
∎ Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
∎ Maintains beneficiary confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
∎ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
∎ When requested by the health project manager, give supportive supervision at field level to improve reporting quality.
∎ Assists with management of the ODK (Open Data Kit) app and database as developed for health and as needed.
∎ Carry out daily clinics health information entry into the DHIS.
∎ Regularly looks at feedback collected and organizes it into a usable format for responding
∎ Informs appropriate persons health managers, health officer and clinic supervisors () on responses that need to be given to beneficiaries.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2 years relevant professional work experience in Health Information and Management Systems within Bangladesh and/or Humanitarian Context. Previous use of DHIS tool is essential. EWARS reporting.
∎ Previous working experience with data entry (in a humanitarian organisation)
∎ Written and spoken Bangla and English
∎ Advanced written and spoken English
∎ Competency in computer various statistical packages such as SPSS, Stata, MS Access. Efficient use of Excel, Word and Power Point Presentation is a must
∎ High analytical skills and attention to detail.
∎ Team work and collaborative working skills.
∎ Ability to work under time constraints and minimum supervision.
∎ Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
∎ Desire to serve the refugee community
