Educational Requirements:
∎ University degree /(equivalent of a BA/BS) in information technology, demography, statistics, Urban & Regional Planning , development studies, engineering or any related area

∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ The overall role of the Information Management Officer (IMO) is to ensure that information required to support humanitarian operations is collected, organised and distributed to all stakeholders. IMOs can be deployed as both generalists and geographic information system (GIS) experts. Database building and maintenance are furthermore among typical IMO tasks.
∎ The incumbent operationalizes data standards developed at the central level in field operations, compiles data and analyses information from all populations of concern. S/he supports the Programme Team in the choice of indicators for monitoring to be included in sub-agreements as well as the WASH Team in operationalizing WASH monitoring systems.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide information management services to support population data management activities including population estimation, information flows from established systems, movement tracking, standard setting/promotion and dissemination.
∎ Assist in training staff involved in information management activities, including data collection and data entry teams.
∎ Perform advisory and technical assignments in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
∎ Organize and maintain GIS data of all WASH facilities in accordance with the relevant data management protocols.
∎ Update 4W matrix with collect information and data from field
∎ Responsible to UNICEF-World Vision WASH Project reporting in ONA system regular basis.
∎ Support and coordination with UNICEF-Planning Monitoring and Reporting section related to ONA system operation.
∎ Participate in the 3rd party monition report sharing meeting and provide information support to World Vision WASH team to take appropriate measure to improve field interventions.
∎ Different kind of quality documentations, stories considering project progress and positive changes in people's lives throughout the project implementation.
∎ Produce case studies, best practices, field experiences, newsletter, e-bulletins and other advocacy materials
∎ Experience in use of tablets & smartphones and associated software.
∎ Experience in data collection through KOBO software and other mobile application software.
∎ Able to oversee multiple tasks, prioritising and delegating as required.
∎ Knowledge of different data collection methodologies.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Professional technical experience matching the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities.
∎ Knowledge and understanding of the complexity related to refugee and IDP situations.
∎ Proficiency in language: English and Bangla ( Oral and Written)
∎ Knowledge of the UN system and the humanitarian community.
∎ Proven skills to analyse statistical information.
∎ Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, functions, etc.).
∎ Ability to formulate IM-related technical requirements and Operating Procedures.
∎ Thorough knowledge of MS office and Lotus Notes
∎ Commitment to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement
∎ Successful participation in the Operational Data management Learning Programme is desirable.
∎ Experience in web design and software development is an asset.
∎ Experience with relevant software such as ArcGIS, MapInfo, SPSS, EpiInfo6, SQL Server, and/or progress is desirable.
∎ Experience with HTML, PHP, ASP and/or Java is an asset. Knowledge of additional UN languages.
